I've some bad news for you. Most of the suggestions you have been given thus far are not likely to help you much. The UMC is not like a nondenominational church. Our statement of faith is going to be the same in every church (or at least it should be) and is located in our Book of Discipline. This may be posted on their website, but whether it is or not, it should be the same at every church, and yet as you have indicated some are more liberal and some are more conservative than others.
I also don't think you're likely to get a district or conference office to give you a list of the most conservative pastors. That's just not the way our system relates to one another.
However, that does not mean that there are not ways to find out the same information. You just have to ask other sources.
The Confessing Movement is a group within the UMC that have adopted a very conservative response to the issue of homosexuality and other related social issues.
I think you will also find the
Good News Movement to be what I would call orthodox.
Both would be sources that might tell you about what pastors or church are connected with them.
If you try that and don't find what you need, come back here and ask again (or PM me) and I might have a few other ideas. Unfortunately, while in Illinois, I'm in a different conference than Chicago so I really don't know those pastors or churches. But there are other ways to learn things, sometimes it is as simple as trial and error sampling of local churches.
