CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

SERIOUSLY! It broke down because someone put regular gas in it instead of diesel! It's all over the news, people are laughingObama's presidential limo, nicknamed "the beast", would not start right before he arrived in Israel. Another car had to be flown in from Jordan.
Also, a comet will be passing over Israel, visible for the time that Obama is there.
Throughout history, comets have been interpreted as harbingers of plague, impending disaster, or the ascension of a new king.
This is no coincidence , along with everything else were seeing happen daily, this harbinger appears.
Christians are rapidly awakening, its those who are not in touch who have yet to have awoken to whats clearly becoming seen to most as prophecy unfolding.

What if the 3.5 years is symbolic of the entire Last Days since Acts 2 (and Hebrews 1), that is, 2000 years?

It's not.
That's like saying the 1290 days of Israel's desolation (66-70AD) was symbolic of 2000 years.

They're busy re-interpreting all their prophecies.
PS: Marantha: the beast in Revelation and in other parts of the bible is usually governments or kingdoms that set themselves up to be 'beastly', to behave like the animals we were meant to rule over, to treat other humans less than human. 'Beast governments' generally also persecute God's people. Daniel's beasts referred to specific kingdoms, and John mixes these beasts up into an amalgamation, as if to argue generally that *any* time governments persecute God's people they are a 'beast'. Not THE beast: Revelation is not a specific timetable of future events. It's a generic sermon to all Christians across all time, warning of general themes like how to behave and who to trust in when 'beast' governments rise up.
The President's car might be called The Beast, but that's because it's a 'beast' of a car. I could ride around in that quite happily, and even buy it 666 millilitres of fuel, and even wear the key-ring on my right hand and forehead, and it wouldn't harm my salvation in the least. It's just a CAR dude, get a GRIP!

Consider....
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
If a thousand years is one day then 3 1/2 days is 3,500 years. The Exodus happened in 1491 BC. Add 3,500 years and we come to year 2,019.
Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

That isn't code. That is a statement that time is irrelevant for God.
Was Jesus in the ground for three days or three thousand years?
It's not code, you don't go and try and find days and thousands of years and switch them. It just means time is irrelevant for God. So when the scoffers come saying, "Where is this coming He promised?" we can know that God's promise is true, whether the Lord comes tomorrow or five thousand years from now. It is in God's timing, not man's--and time is irrelevant for Him. Thus we leave it to His discretion for He alone knows.

i posted a thread with my research on daniel's timeline, and its just ignored. maybe its too complicated. the date of 22nd march is the middle of the last 7 years, its the start of the trib.
daniel (in my opinion) is not a template of exact events repeating themselves again in the last days, it's mainy about antiochus 4th, and (in my opinion) includes a prediction about antiochus which didnt happen; some think that it is all about the antichrist's activities in the latter days, but it is obvious that it is not (we need to see it for what it is).
even if the book is not perfect, god can still use it to map out the timeline, and place in the book archetype for the antichrist, but an archetype only, not the same person again, doing the same things.

Gah you beat me to the punch! I was going to say that the day's over half over (here on the west coast) and Jen AKA Bethwhite is conspicuously absent. Interesting that someone with 44 posts per day has suddenly gone dark when every one of those posts was about something that hasn't, and likely won't, come to pass.
