How does young earth creationism explain the White Cliffs of Dover?

Scientists do understand how organisms produce such structures. But how does the biology behind such geologic formations relate to the Great Flood of Noah? Were the Cliffs formed in a little over a year during the flood? (Or do creationists assert that the Dover White Cliffs predate the flood?)

I'm more interested in the atmospheric pressure implied by the mass of water that was in the atmosphere prior to the flood. Unless we're making exceptions to the conservation of mass/energy rule, which is something of a bigee, then there is some serious explaining to do for anyone who thinks thousands of feet of water fell from the sky.

The water in the atmosphere is OVER us. It weighs down on us in the form of atmospheric pressure. Just a few tens of feet of water over your head are enough to give you the bends. Thousands of feet are well enough to crush you instantly.
