Sodomy is bad, we all read. The continued public vocals from Christian leaders, and sometimes from the pulpit, isn't appropriate. For those who are vocal to the general public are only telling half the story of a Christian life.
It doesn't matter if one of our best representatives of the Christian faith is interviewed for an hour on camera, with every word and expression recorded, only the hot button words and phrases will make it to print, radio, on tv. Ratings, advertisers and sales is the business, sell what sells. Even if it is a Christian magazine.
My idea of when speaking always be in the Spirit, choose words carefully, do not belittle anyone (group), speak as if Jesus was standing beside you, (for He is).
Signaling out certain groups of society for ridicule isn't Christ-like. Doesn't society make up the church. Church members come out of society, (world), for a better way of life I hope. Preaching truth and hearing truth is great and fulfilling to the Christian, for they have an understanding. But what about those who are lost, they can not understand the Word as you and I. And often when they do hear a basic self-explanatory verse they become offended, for they do not have the Spirit.
Honestly, if someone from the world hasn't offended you today you might want to check yourself, ask a brother/sister or pastor for an honest character assessment.
