VIDEO of Mitt Romney 47% Gaffe: What was he trying to say?

That man is out of touch. Half of the people in this country are evidently leeches, feel like they are victims entitled to handouts. This includes a lot of people that would normally vote for him.

This man is not fit to be president of the USA. He is fit only to be in the boardroom, serving the interests of his pocketbook.

So then, it's wrong for Romney to say that 47% of Americans don't pay income taxes, but it's OK for Emperor Obama to say that they should be made to pay "their fair share"?

The guy that's already president isn't fit to be the president either...didn't stop millions of people from hopping aboard the hope & change express and voting for him.

Its wrong to suggest that you are going to be president of only half the country, because you are elitist and look down on everyone else.

Has he suggested a way to fix this? As far as I gather he's fine with them earning less than a living wage, so whats the problem with subsidizing them? If they're following the rules of supply and demand, either they're subsidized or the job they're doing should cease to exist. Romney seems to want it both ways.

Seems to me like he just told the truth. Granted, we aren't accustomed to hearing the truth like that but i don't see truth telling as a disqualifier

"All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them."
Why would paying no income tax even imply that you require the government to feed you, house you, etc..? The two are not synonymous. People don't pay taxes if they make under a certain amount. This hopefully allows them to purchase necessities like food, housing, and so on. If he wants poor people to start paying taxes that would be a sure way to increase need for the very social programs he is so opposed to in the first place.
"I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
So if you don't make enough money to be liable for paying income tax you don't take personal responsibility and care for you life? Lazy poor people. They should buy more money.

Not to fear, Obamanomics is here.

The September
Empire State
Manufacturing Survey
indicates
that conditions for New York
manufacturers continued to weaken.
The general business conditions
index slipped another
fi ve points
to -10.4, its second consecutive
negative reading. The new orders
index fell nine points to -14.0, its
third straight negative reading.
Both of these measures reached
their lowest levels in almost two

years.

Has Obama ever shown any sort of sympathy or support for the wealthy?
How about signing the continuation of the Bush tax cut ? I seriously don't think the wealthy have a problem getting their voice heard or their interests looked after in Washington. The ultra wealthy purchase the elections and get what they pay for.

How dare he! How dare he think he can represent anyone but his cronies. May he rot into oblivion.

What a crock. If people don't make enough money to be liable for income taxation than they must not take personal responsibility or care for their life? Doesn't he realize that most people would like to make more money but they can't find a way to do it? It's not like they are staying poor because they don't like paying taxes. Heck if he thinks it's so awesome he can join them. Give away all his money and he wont have to pay taxes just like all the other poor people.

That was for all taxpayers, not just the wealthy.
He didn't have to give the wealthy a tax cut and he did. The wealthy had the biggest savings from it as well.

Then you should have no problem citing examples.
Just look at the amount already spent on this presidential campaign alone. Do you really think that money came from poor people? Do poor people run the super Pacs? Both parties have their corporate sponsors (their Koch brothers and George Sorros's) and when they get in power they do the crony capitalist thing and hook them up. Money talks and the poor don't have it.
