Do you find it hard to try not to sin everyday? What do you to help you?

If I understand the Christian idea of "sin" correctly, it´s another way of saying "missing the mark of perfection".Do you find it hard to try not to sin everyday? What do you to help you?

When I was a Christian, yes I did find it hard not to sin every day. By that I mean I found it extremely difficult to be perfect every day. This inevitably took an emotional toll on me. But perhaps that's because, in my case, I felt conscious of sin, or even the potential for sin, at every single moment. It came to dominate my thoughts to the point of obsession. And it lead to distress when, each day, I failed to be "perfect".

Personally, I don´t seem to have any problem with not being perfect. The task of permanently improving is actually what keeps me going. I imagine perfection to be quite boring.
I don't believe in God, so I have no everyday problem with sinning (in fact, I don't even believe in the concept of sin). I simply try to be a decent person, and that's it.
A criminal is also trying to be a decent person.
Because I'm better at it than him, maybe? Because according to pretty much every system of morality, being a criminal is worse than not being a criminal? Because I hurt less people than criminals do? Because I don't let little kids get hooked on drugs?A criminal is also trying to be a decent person. Why is yours better than his?
Apart from semantics, how does that affect the content of my post?Do jump to the imaginary thing like "perfection". It is not that serious yet.
Sin means something you do not feel right, but you still do it.
Well, success is typically not measured by how hard you´ve tried but by the result.A criminal is also trying to be a decent person. Why is yours better than his?
That is why you need a "savior". Why did you walk out of Christianity?
Don't you mean "needed" a savior? In other words, Jesus doesn't have to come back and die again for anyone, does he?That is why you need a "savior".
In what way is a criminal trying to be a decent person while at the same time engaging in criminal activity?
eudaimonia,

By the way, you can quote multiple people in one post. I suggest you start doing this. Having to read three posts from you in a row is getting annoying.
Because I found myself agreeing less and less with the beliefs of Christianity and theism in general.

So you are going deeper into agony (feel that you are a sinful man).
I think you got it.
