John 3:12
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Ludicrous. Galatians 5:4.
You must take a whole subject; not just one verse; the objective of this board is to enlighten people that are searching for the truth; bur unless
they know the subject; it is confussing;

Ya mean the earthly vs the heavenly? That is the beauty of it, that verse does fit the subject. Just as Matthew 4.
Ahhh, thks for clarifying that. That Paul kept the torah perfectly. It's strongly implied that he failed to keep the torah in Romans 7:15, and he expressly states that the torah is no longer binding as observed at the Jerusalem council (Acts 15, Galatians 2:10).
Time and time again Paul refutes those who try to add to salvation anything other than faith in Jesus. He goes after the Judaizers in Galatia and the Superapostles in Colossae.

That is kind of a tuffy for the Jews of today to wrap their heads around me thinks

John 3
King James Version (KJV)
3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit......
Paul was both a Jew and Gentile. When with the Jews he was Jew, when with Gentile was a Gentile. A man who strives for mastery is temperate in all things according to Paul. We can learn a lot from Paul. Are we Temperate in all things?
1Co 9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
1Co 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
1Co 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
1Co 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
1Co 9:23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
1Co 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible
Perhaps that is why Jews and Muslims both view him as a false apostle, along with some sects within Christianity itselfso he was two faced with double standards... is that what you are saying.
Moses says anyone who teaches others to disobey the commandments is a false prophet... either Moses is right, or Paul is generally misunderstood.
Steve
Paul the false apostleSo I"m reading the bible cover to cover, like any other book, in an attempt to get greater understanding, learning and growing in my relationship with God. (I don't belong to a church and won't)
Everything was going just fine.........till I got to romans, then I started having a problem here.
I'm having severe internal conflict now because I'm seeing contradictions in pauls letters.
Please help me out here.
Here are my issues so far, I"m in the corinthians letters so far and will continue reading further tonight.
Paul basically said that the law is no more, you can eat what you want, you can worship anyday that you want, all that law is gone.
.
so he was two faced with double standards... is that what you are saying.
Moses says anyone who teaches others to disobey the commandments is a false prophet... either Moses is right, or Paul is generally misunderstood.
Steve
Who are you addressing that to?care to provide the evidence for your assertion?
Steve
Who are you addressing that to?
