Hmmmm, Dave...
do you think your bodily needs will level off at some point?
The stairs and the heart are probably not good companions...:duh:.
I think of you often and feel you have a lot of suffering going on these days....((((((hugs)))).
The Ramipril, is issued/prescribed, at gradually increasing doses
1.25, 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 mg
and their effects at each stage is assessed, via bloods and water
The heart failure clinic, have arranged for me to join an exercise class
[details to follow] that will teach me how to exercise 'safely'
This, I am told is to insure, that I simply do not waste away, but,
instead... surrender only, very slowly
My 'condition' is not of the sort that would benefit by insertion of a pacemaker
and 'surgery' would be considered for me, if the help provided by meds
were inadequate
or, if my condition should worsen, before symptoms become controlled by meds
I am told, that this heart failure, may have happened years ago [originally]
but, that the body has made the heart 'buck-up' to cope with my body's demands
Today, it is simply saying "don't push so-hard, I have limits"

that I do not SUFFER 'anything'
This is, [to me]
just another day in my life
Where, just 5.5 years ago, I couldn't have dreamed, of coming, as far as I have
As for those stairs....
I approach them slowly [do not hold my breath]
and I give them, one step at a time
I have had to pause a few times on the way up [recently]
and even stand-around, for a few minutes, at the top
before, heading to the bedroom
Post-editing:
Several years ago, our neighbour 'May' had a stairlift installed for her husband
[now deceased] and passed the pre-existing bannister rails to Mary and I
I installed them on the wall side of the staircase ~and am able, to hold on with both hands
Mary asked me earlier re: the painting of the bedroom doors
"Just need to be got 'out of the way' "
My reply [?]
"All in good time"

especially:
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God bless you
