You weren't expressing a wish that we would see the incompatibility; you were saying that we don't have God. Period. Either you're confused about the relationship between atheism and evolution, or you know that many Christians do accept evolution and you're telling falsehoods about us anyway.

How did we get here? THe question has been asked by many but answered by few. Creationists will tell you that we are offspring of Adam and Eve. Evolutionists will say that we evolved upward from some distant apelike hominid somewhere in the past. I want to go back further. For Creationists, the answer is easy- God made Adam and Eve. That case is closed.

But for evolutionists the answer is not so easily put forth. Evolutionists always seem to respond with something along the lines of "ToE doesn't deal with origins..." But I want to know what evolutionists actually think about the matter. Where did that supposed common ancestor come from? If all life shares this supposed CA (common ancestor), where did it come from?

I know that evolutionists first response will be "ToE doesn't deal with that..." I want to say rubbish. You must have some theory, idea, guess, or hypothosis of everything came from and how every life form got started and I would like you to share that.


(This thread is not for a regular old rehash of Creation v Evolution. I simply want to know where evolutionists believe it all started at.)

This is most definitely true! But in all earnest; Americans have their good side (NASA, SMITHSONIAN, etc) and they have their bad side (CREATION MUSEUM, MEGA CHURCHES, etc.), however they are too religiously inclined in the wrong direction; "Guns, God, and Glory" is an example. Another example is "Jesus spoke English" or even "Thou shalt not kill without just cause".

OK, I was inconsistent there. Basically, when I argued about evolution, I assume I am talking to atheists (90% chance of it is true). TE is odd. It is a category which does not stay long in my mind. You are a Christian and you also believe in evolution. That is fine, even I think it is wrong. You would be an exception in my argument against evolution.

Actually it is you who is the exception; The vast majority of Christians have no problems with ToE.

90% is a totally bogus percentage. Try more like 38% of Americans are Theistic Evolutionists. It is actually very close to the percentage who are creationists: Four in 10 Americans Believe in Strict Creationism

Oh, for crying out loud. Every poll for decades has shown similar numbers for the U.S., and most other countries show much lower percentages of creationists.

Do you need to know how galaxies form to study how stars work? While the question of how life started is very interesting it is not a necessity to understand how life evolved.

They would need a hypothesis that is not falsified by the data first. The issue is not the lack of details, it is the data that contradicts the assertions. So no, I do not think it unfair.
