Anyone here into pistol shooting?

What's you're favorite gun?

What gun is on your wishlist that you'd like to own?

My favorite one is my Springfield XDM 45acp

The one I have my eye on is a subcompact Glock 27 or 29

I also have a Ruger SP-101 in .357; I like it, but it's kind of hard on the hand after 50 rounds...

I normally carry a Smith & Wesson 3913 (9mm).

I don't have a favorite either.

Hmmmm yeah, I got a few.

Ruger GP100 and SP101 chambered in .357 Magnum

Glock Model 27 in .40 ACP

Glock Model 36 in .45 ACP

I like all 4 pretty good, don't know that I have a favorite.

The one pistol on my wishlist would be a Kimber Ultra Carry.

I've looked into the Kimber route before, but I just don't know if they're worth the money that you have to pay to get one. I've shot traditional 1911 model Kimber before side by side with my Springfield 45 XDM and didn't really notice a difference in accuracy or recoil. I know some people who use kimbers for competition guns since you can mod them up quite a bit, but I don't know if that makes them worth $1,400. (Not sure how much the ultra carry costs tho)

My S&W Sigma .40 is kind of the same way. It's nice and light, cost effective and easy to take apart and clean, but definitely not a gun I can shoot all day.

The SP101 can be hard on the hands, but at least for me, it really really points well. I can aim it as naturally as pointing my finger.

The Kimber ultra carry really fits well in my hands too. It is quite pricy, but I still may one day end up with one.

How is this one as far as recoil is concerned? I debated buying this one, but I've been wondering how hard it is to control being a subcompact slimline 45.

It's manageable. I don't find it to be any harder to control than any of the other lightweight polymer pistols. You can buy extensions to go on the bottoms of the clips to give you a better grip if the stock grip is too short.

Might have to check that out.

I was looking around online and saw this
Kimber America | 1911 Super Carry Ultra HD

I just wish it didn't cost so much. I don't know if I could justify dropping 3X the amount of a glock for it.

One of the Kentucky reps from our company came up for the quarterly meeting and we hit the range and he brought a Taurus Judge with him...not the most comfortable revolver, but still fun enough that I'm toying with the idea of buying one...that is, after I get my Five Seven ;)

I don't classify myself as a pistol shooter since I prefer rifles, but I do own and shoot pistols. My favorite is the Springfield XD9. I liked my Beretta 92FS before that, but have preferred the Springfield ever since I got it. Fits my hand better, and for me, shoots more accurately.
