I am sort of tired today...could not unwind and really sleep well last night...hope to slow down today...we saw some very old friends yesterday...another surprise at the cemetery. We were all young parents once...now many of the "kids" are in their 40's and we have an assortment of grandchildren...wow, the time just flys by.

Another photo from yesterday...one of his sons holding the memorial flag and casings from the rifles fired in Bobbi's honor.
I hope you get your rest today
That is a very touching ceremony!
My first time was at my Father's funeral in 1965 (Navy Vet).
I was just 13, and the flag folding/presentation, taps, and gun volley, never left me.
Beautiful pic![]()
Yeah it was; my childhood ended at age 8 when he became ill with Hodgekins Lyphosarcoma (He was just 33).That is very young to lose a father...((((((hugs)))))).![]()

My mother was a proud, dependent soul who used me as an adult, because she didn't want others in the house.
I did things with his care that some adults have never done (and kids should never do); but I loved him dearly!
It has my hospice care of him at home that led me into nursing and later a Hospice/ Visiting Nurse
sorry you had to lose your father at such a young age and grow up...... My family has lost people young but it was always from recless living... I can't think of someone who got sick and died... soooo sad.
