Can't believe I found this! I love the Lord and I love crocheting!! Howdy, everyone!
Welcome to CF and the crochet forum

I have posted a couple of pics re: that memory afghan I mentioned earlier ~ it is so easy!

It can be made to any size, and using scraps of yarn (any amount) from all your projects.

SC 10 ~ ch 1; braid the chains when you are done, just looping one one through the other all the way up.

Finish by securing the end loops at both ends as you crochet the border

I've finally finished my blanket - after nearly 5 years!^_^ It looks so tiny!

This is the overall picture of the blanket

This is what the edge looks like.

I ended up waiting until MC was asleep and then spent the last couple of nights finishing the edge.

So now I'm going to finish off a cardigan I was making while I was pregnant. I have to just make the arms and put it all together.

Beautiful!!
What yarn did you use?

Thanks. :)

This is very true - when I did the bulk of the blanket it was at a time when I couldn't sleep. So it kept me occupied until sleep caught up with my mind. ^_^

I've been out of the loop for a while, but I decided to come back. I'm a long time crocheter, actually about half my life now. Huh, little more than half my life.
Welcome back

Do you have any projects going?

YEARS ago when I was your age (I am dating myself ;) ) we used to weave place mats with yarn out of cotton dish towels.

I have never done any other type, but I am sure you can Google for ideas.

If you decide on something, be sure to post it :)

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd share my latest venture. I needed to use a high chair which I used for HRH but I'd lost the strap for it. MC is getting more and more mobile now and so I got some heavy duty string and created a reinforced strap. I'm quite pleased with how it came out. :)
