I had no idea about your educational standard. I stated a fact that the bible didn't organise itself. It didn't. How it came into being would be the first step in showing you why you're wrong.

I left the RCC. I know why I left it. I don't know why you left it. Asking you helps me know.

Acts of the Apostles seems to disagree with you. It's not called "Acts of every Joe who followed Christ"

A fringe of the largest group seems to undermine what 'fringe' means

I'm not American. I may have pointed that out already

Okay.

Where is anything like the RCC mentioned in Acts? They are on the fringe of Christianity doctrinally. It matters not how large a group their followers are.

I could not reconcile myself to their doctrine and practices after 2 years of trying and after discovering that they had not just gone wrong somewhere, but never were right. The time came to break ties. Why did you leave and how can you stay away if you believe it to be the church founded by the Apostles?

And it slipped my memory that you were not American. I usually notice those things and remember them.

The topic is EV although related to the topic still RCC is hardly our discussion here ....Just saying... Now if you prefer to discuss the RCC seperatly then you will have to open a new thread in GT ;)

This is not to discuss why one has left the RCC and whatever...Back to topic!

Appointing of officers of church, having a Council, annointing by laying on hands, etc.

Well from my perspective they have moved away from the church, but then you're church - does it have bishops?

I left to find the church of the NT - and I found it. That doesn't mean that I think that the RCC wasn't founded by Apostles.

And it slipped my memory that you were not American. I usually notice those things and remember them.

My dad was American, though. He was born in Indiana

Well, I'm just going by the theory some Protestants are pushing here that 'brother' in the NT only means a biological male sibling
Good point

Rotherham) Ezekiel 38:21 Then will I call against him every terror, declareth My Lord Yahweh.
The sword of every man against his brother shall be;
[Revelation 6:4]

Young) Revelation 6:4 and there went forth another horse--red, and to him who is sitting upon it, there was given to him to take the peace from the land,
and that one another they may slay, and there was given to him a great sword.
[Ezekiel 38:21]

Because they can accept anything but their own definition. If they acknowledge that it could have multiple meanings their house of cards would fall.

A house divided cannot stand for long

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

Matt 7:26 And all the ones hearing of Me these words and no doing them, shall be likened to stupid/foolish man, whoany builds of him the House upon the sand.
27 And descended the rains and the streams and blow the winds and they strike that House, and She falls/epesen <4098>,
and was the fall/ptwsiV <4431> of Her great.' [Luke 19:44/Revelation 14:8]

Reve 14:8 And another Messenger, second-one follows saying "She falls/epesen <4098> (5627), She falls/epesen <4098> (5627), Babylon the Great, the out of the wine of the fury of the fornication of her she has given to drink all the nations".

It's actually quite significant. What was the original concept? How might that have been altered?

My understanding is this.

Hebrew ach (brother) meant X, Y, Z.

Greek adelphos (brother) meant X, Y.

So, when folks read Greek "brother" in the gospels, depending on their group status, they read X, Y, Z, instead of X, Y.

Only 1 person has failed to keep up with the conversation. Please don't cue off of misinformation; that is, no one, but him, has suggested adelphos did not have multiple meanings.

Not quite ...

both terms are quite broad, and respond to the vernacular usage of the time and place as well.

Was "neighbor" included in your list ?

b) any other person, and where two are concerned, the other (thy fellow man, thy neighbour), according to the Jews, any member of the Hebrew nation and commonwealth
c) according to Christ, any other man irrespective of nation or religion with whom we live or whom we chance to meet
