Hello all, I am so glad I found this group, I'm not on my own. I have lost count how many times I have tried to pray Philippians 4:6 over my life. I know a lot of you know what I am trying to say.

I have had victory for a few years until recently due to circumstances beyond my control it has returned with a vengeance. Have tried my learnt coping strategies with not much success. I know that the Lord will not put me through more than I can endure but there are days when I feel I'm loosing my mind. But I know that he is beside me and in control.

I'm so sorry to hear about the hard time you're having right now and past. I have GAD too, and it's not easy.
Sometimes prayer can only go so far, and you have to get help from another source.....and that source will sometimes (without us knowing) be the very things we were praying for.

I pray that God will show you the way to get stronger and to overcome. That God will show you new ways of helping yourself out and making things better.

Thanks for your reply, all things are possible for those who believe.

This is my second time around getting help for this, have been blessed as the Lord has given me an opportunity to take part in a ground breaking new treatment trial for ccbt, which is free as I can no longer afford to pay for therapy.

I have learnt to take each day as it comes, and pray my way through the bad ones, the bad days are the hardest to cope with though.

I have GAD Im going to try 5 HTP its a natural supplement taken from the Griffonia simplicifolia plant I have heard a lot of good things about it I will come back and let you know how I get on with it.

Hi there my dear sweet sister, I have GAD as well. It is so bad that i had to increase my meds to 200MG BUT i still worry.

A friend of mine also recommended that passage to me after my struggles.

Here is another good verse: Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him/her in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he/she trusts in You.
