Does it hurt Gods feelings when He is mocked and cause Him to lash out in anger? Sounds like something an emotionally immature person would do rather than God. Especially if you are talking about the God who tells us to turn the other cheek and who tells us to love our enemies so we can be like Him. Getting yourself in a murders rage because children called you "baldy" is absurd for a human let alone a God.

This is exactly what i am talking about. Why do most Christians not see that?

Many of the early Christians like Marcion did understand that. They knew that some of the attributes given to God in differnt OT books are totally contrary to the God revealed by Christ.

If God killed people for blasphemy, there would be no atheists today. So clearly this is false.

God's way is LOVE, not murder. That would be the devil, not God.

Why do you feel that you need a faith? could you be a good person without it?

I believe that Jesus died for my sin and choose to follow him, Christian is from "little Christ" which means people who want to be like Christ, I want to be like Christ and for many other reasons including this one I identify myself as a Christian, but being a good person is different, anyone can choose to be a good person and luckily many people are primary good. Not sure if that actually answered your question though.

Chapter 9 of Ezekiel is continuation of Ezekiel's vision that began in chapter 8. It is essential to understand the timing and what this vision means. Ezekiel was a prophet that was born around 622 bc and preached to Israel right before and during the Babylonian exile. The vision and its impending judgement described in chapter 9 depicts the Babylonian attack and destruction of Jerusalem in 586 bc and the horrors that the Jews would suffer because of their unbelief and wicked ways. The Babylonians inflicted the devastation not God although God foretold of the devastation through Ezekiel in chapter 7.

There is a big difference between judging someone and finding them guilty and executing him than murdering someone outright. You have a big problem with explaining your idea of a loving God and dismissing Noah's ark. I see no way you can view God as not murdering almost everyone alive at that time unless you say God judged those people and sentenced them to death.

So God judged babies as guilty and murdered them? I doubt it, but hey, if believing that makes you a better person, more power to ya.

Please see my previous reply which clearly answered your concerns about the flood. I already addressed them and I so hate repeating myself.

God can do as he wishes with his creation. I will outright say God has killed children a few times. He has (as far as I can see) commanded the destruction of an entire people (race?) which include tossing live babies into the rocks

God did this? Book chapter verse please.

If you read the story that way it makes no sense. Why did the animals have to die? "All flesh was corrupted." The only one left human, was Noah. Apparently at least some from his family was also corrupted, because we see Nephilim spring back up.

This is reinforced in Revelation. What makes you think God is love, and not wrath? Are you another one that's going to go on the misguided "omnibenevolent" binge?

My personal opinion is it's not right to kill anyone. But unfortunately this is where I struggle with faith.
