Is there such a thing as a Jezebel spirit?

Where in the bible is the Lord clear about Jezebel being a manipulating/controlling spirit in His words? He tells you she is a false prophetess, He tells you she is a teacher, He tells you she teaches His servants to eat meat sacrified to idols (an idolater) He tells you that she is a fornicator (spiritual) But He is pretty clear that this spirit works by cooperation. (You suffer that woman Jezebel--you let her.) Or else why would it be fair to kill her children with death. They know(her) and they cooperate. To many people have answered this question by what they have read in a book about this spirit and not by what The Book says about the spirit.

It's because their is typically an Ahab who abdicates his authority to the controlling spirit. As far as what I've learned about Jezebel spirits, when the Holy Spirit turns the lamp up, it's very obvious. When He witnesses to the truth, the fruits are present.

I had it working to some extent in the fellowship I was attending. I began to get set free from the influence by understanding how it worked. I saw it work on the job I was at (No one was a Christian). It's worked in the White House!

Jezebel manipulates Ahab (the king) to do her will. She wants to bring down the prophets of God. Her murderous anger is ready to bring retribution upon all those who stand against her judgments. Jezebel had her prophets, but it was her work against God's prophet that distinguished her. In the church today, it is to undermine authority and the attempt to banish the anointed (whomever they may be).

Although we hate sin, we should have a perfect heart about what goes on in the church. No grudges or hard feelings. It's God's church. I don't resent Church of Christ people for getting rid of musical instruments (Really!); or Holiness people for diminishing the ministry of women; or Seventh Day Adventists for imposing a physical sabbath or whatever.

I don't have a lick of bad feeling about evangelicals who don't believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit because we're supposed to be "emotional". People can walk without the power all they want, and here is where it comes down to Charismatic or non Charismatic. If we want to move in power, we have to have a pure heart. We have to be free of judgments. Without pointing any fingers, we should all examine ourselves and decide whether or not we fit that criteria in the here and now.

As far as making prophetic mistakes, I'm guessing you're not prophesying, because if you were, you'd doubtlessly made a mistake by now. God does not condemn us for mistakes. Also, our blessings are conditional. God spoke about His will for His people and He wants to bless us all. It's all dependent on our obedience.

It is all our calling to expose false prophets. And you said before that you are prophesing but it doesn't always come to pass. Than if I were you, I wouldn't do that any more. We serve a Holy God and He will not be mocked.

Everything that is going to happen in the future is in the scripture somewhere. The gift of prophecy primarily operates by being able to interpret what is already written. We don't need a new word, we need leaders that can rightly interpret what is already written. But unfortunately the bible says:

By who? I have no misgivings at all about Jezebel. The Lord hates it and I am satisfied with that assessment. There's no point in taking up a burden about it unless He leads you in intercessory prayer.

There are many in the "church" out there who love to point fingers at certain ministers. I've been to their websites to see what they write and you feel the curse on it the minute you get there. People have garnished a "right" to judge ministers. It brings a curse.

God has all ability to judge His church as He pleases. Timothy was in authority when Paul told him the things he did. That's why we should pray for our pastors. Moving in godly authority is the divine order. If you believe God answers your prayers, then this should be effectual.

Back to "Jezebel". Jezebel upsets the system of family authority as indicated in the Word. Their are also "Ahab" spirits that enable "Jezebel" spirits by abdicating authority in the man (in authority) and Jezebel is a "control spirit" wreaking havoc in his sphere of authority. This can happen at home, on the job, in church, etc. They are manipulative and are well known for "playing" one person against another.

There are often seen in controlling mothers who manipulate their children even after they move away and marry. We can all be victims of control spirits and a study of this is warranted if you are suffering along these lines.

One of the most important things we can do to relieve demonic oppression is to get our lives in proper order and submitting to God given authority. Not to be manipulated or controlled, but as God intends, which should be a joy. There's a special blessing for submission and it is a sign of a meek spirit. It's necessary if we are to exercise authority that we be under authority.

What does the information that you are passing on have to do with:

Also, why do you not use scripture? While you are worrying about who is in control or who is trying to take control, Jezebel has sneaked in with her seducing spirits and doctrines of demons and she has everyone at her table eating out of her hand.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, why don't you use His word?

Religious paradigms "get off" on giving "Cutesy-poo" names to things such as this.

There CERTAINLY ARE people who are VERY controlling and manipulative. And they may or may not have related "Demonization" issues to some degree or another (Whether or not they happen to be Christian or not). GENERALLY a "Controlling and manipulative" person (Christian or otherwise) is simply moving in his OWN Depraved human nature, and manifesting "the way he/she is wired" - acting NORMALLY, and it's got nothing to DO with "Spiritual oppression".

SOMETIMES folks (Christian or otherwise) are oppressed by, or under the influence of demonic spirits which will cause certain behaviours.

But it's BETTER not to give silly names to the affliction - just state what it IS, and what it's effects are.

If it's FLESH - then it's a behavior/attitude to be CRUCIFIED - and "Walking in the Spirit" is the solution - you can't Cast out" the "Flesh".

If it's Spiritual oppression - then the "Ministry of deliverance" will take care of the problem - although there may be a "Flesh problem" that the spiritual oppression used as a "Landing strip" to get it's initial "grip" on the person which needs to be dealt with also.

I have heard and read a lot about a thing called a "Jezebel spirit" which among other things makes a person very controlling and manipulative. I would like to hear people's opinion here as I think I may have had some friends in the past with this problem.

Absolutely.

Back in the mid to late 80s I knew a woman that was a very high level high priestess of Ashtoreth. The biblical queen Jezebel was also a high priestess of that same goddess. What Christianity calls a 'Jezebel Spirit' is a 'power' over lesser spirits of a group of attributes that fall under the domain of the principality Ashtoreth. She is one of the top principalities of hell. She is the 2nd member of the unholy trinity.

Now scripture doesn't specifically name a 'Jezebel Spirit' but it has many references to those under the influence of that ancient paganism specifically into the feminine aspect of it. For example Eze 16 is about Jerusalem personified as a women. This passage point for point matched the life of the high priestess of Ashtoreth I was in conflict against. It was fulfilled in her life almost exactly. Eze 16 is about certain attributes of a Jezebel.

Revelation also mentions a Jezebel in the church that is one of the 7 major errors that we have to overcome. A Jezebel is someone operating in a subset of the group of attributes under the influence of Ashtoreth. The scriptural queen Jezebel is just the 'type and shadow' presented. We call a women like that a Jezebel and the main spirit leader her into that error a 'Jezebel Spirit'.

Control and manipulation are just some of the attributes involved in a Jezebel spirit. Jezebel is rooted in the arrogance or superiority of women. Once established, it brings in other attributes based on that arrogance. Those attributes include: gossip, slander, bearing false witness (to punish), blackmail, bribery, lying, deception, witchcraft, merchandising (trading for what they want), seduction, control, manipulation and domination to name a few.

Jezebel is all about imposing her own will over others not under her authority. That is the root of witchcraft and why rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Rebellion is rejecting valid authority while witchcraft is usurping that authority for herself. A wife that imposes her will over her husband is in rebellion and witchcraft. They go hand in hand.

I have been writing a trilogy about my conflict against witchcraft and that high priestess of Ashtoreth. It is entitled 'Battling Jezebel'. I have seen a women that idolized the biblical Jezebel character and got involved in the worship of her ancient goddess. She openly embraced all aspects of a Jezebel. She was even offered the 'familiar spirit' of the original queen Jezebel if she overcome me. I got to be the Elijah to her Jezebel.

Now in that conflict I learned what exactly Jezebel spirits were as well as who Ashtoreth is. Ashtoreth was a nephilim daughter of one of the angels bound at the Euphrates. Those 4 angels were bound for sinning after the flood by having children. They were bound at Babel. Ashtoreth was an angel/human hybrid that lived during the time of Babel. She was Nimrod's mother and one of the pagan goddesses set up to be worshiped at Babel. She had physical children. The spirits of her daughters and female descendants are Jezebel spirits. As a matter of fact, she also was the mother of Sidon, the firstborn of Canaan, and that is why she was the primary deity of Sidon. Queen Jezebel was of the royal line of Sidon, one of her direct descendants.

Ellen the high priestess I knew had her eldest granddaughter's spirit as her 'familiar spirit' to help guide her and to provide her power via witchcraft. The worldwide high priestess of the day had Ashtoreth's eldest daughter as her 'familiar spirit'. That is the spirit that operated through the original Queen Jezebel who was the worldwide high priestess of Ashtoreth of her day. Jezebel was a witch and her death curse against Elijah is the cause of why Elijah wanted to die after doing such mighty works.

I KNOW Jezebel very well. It is my main calling to stand up against Ashtoreth and her ways.

The woman is the biblical type and shadow as an example. She was also a high priestess of Ashtoreth. She had both the priest of Baal and 'the groves' ie Asherah at her table. Her name means 'Baal is my husband' and the consort of Baal was Ashtoreth. Asthoreth was also the primary deity of Sidon her hometown. Her own father was the high priest of Baal there.

Jezebel was a pagan high priestess, a witch. She defiantly had a 'familiar spirit' operating through her.

I thought the OP was asking about the Jezebel spirit teaching where people get exorcised, rather than just an attitude.

Low level demons are over single attributes. Jezebel spirits are high level spirits that control the interaction of a group of lesser spirits. Jezebel spirits are ruling spirits that coordinate the actions of those lesser spirits and try to bring in all the traits she has influence over.

There is no listed stronghold called a Jezebel spirit in our bibles.

There are suspicious people who run around claiming many things about the spiritual realm, who tend to see a demon behind every door and under every rock, but we are to pay attention to those listed in our bible for a reason.

Here are the listed strongholds in our bible,..

1. A Familiar spirit
2. A spirit of Jealousy
3. The spirit of Whoredom
4. A Lying spirit
5. A Perverse spirit/spirit of Perversion
6. A spirit of Pride/Haughtiness
7. The spirit of Heaviness
8. A spirit of Infirmity
9. A Deaf and Dumb spirit
10. A Seducing/Deceiving spirit
11. The spirit of Fear
12. The spirit of Anti-Christ

A spirit of bondage is also listed, but the passage naming it I don't consider to be identifying it apart from the others listed here. In other words, a spirit of bondage could be any one of these in the list, imho.

Now in Hebrew there are male and female 'evil spirits', 'ruach rah' and 'ruach ra-ah'.

Now an anti-christ spirit is an entire group of spirits. THE anti-christ spirit is one of the top three demons, part of the unholy trinity. He rules over an entire portion of evil spirits. He was worshped as Baal ('lord') in the ancient Canaanite pantheon.

A Jezebel spirit is a 'familiar spirit' and is also over many of the spirits you listed. For example whoredoms is one of her attributes.

I have a question, if it's okay. When Jesus spoke of 'powers and principalities' would these qualify some of these strongholds being 'powers' and some being 'principalities'.

The principality over all Jezebel spirits is Ashtoreth, the goddess of Jezebel. You would know Ashtoreth as the 'great harlot' of Revelation. She is the pagan 'rock' of the Old Testament.

Most of the primary principalities are the spirits of dead Nephilim and were worshiped as the ancient pagan gods. The level of the spirit as in principality, power, dominion or might is basically a rank based on how many spirits they have under them. A Jezebel spirit is at least at the level of a 'dominion' over an entire range of lesser spirits but under the principality of Ashtoreth. Ashtoreth is also over most pagan goddess worship witchcraft. She is behind corruption in the RCC with the divine mother worship. Her spirits also work with spirits under the anti-christ to bring about error within the churches.

The original reference to the"Jezebel spirit" is to the likeness of her character - and this would apply today whether or not you accepted the historical evidence of another Jezebel.

Because it is in the likeness of Jezebel's nature one would have to conclude that it is a familiar spirit [that's how it fits in the 12 listed], and it is quite likely that spirit will identify itself as Jezebel - thus manifestations using that name.

So I suppose I would say, yes, there is a Jezebel spirit [perhaps many of them] but, no, its not Jezebel's spirit.

As I understand it, Jezebel herself had a 'familiar spirit' that was the spirit of the eldest daughter of Ashtoreth. Jezebel was also a descendant of Ashtoreth via the royal line of Sidon, first born of Canaan.

Jezebel is just the scriptural 'type and shadow' of an individual under the influence of the principality Ashtoreth. Ashtoreth is the same individual that was worshiped in Ephesus as the 'great goddess Diana'.

A Jezebel spirit can be any spirit under the dominion of the principality of Ashtoreth. Many associate a Jezebel spirit with a certain attribute like control but a real Jezebel spirit is over many lesser spirits of specific attributes. It controls a broad range of attributes that work well in women.

Yes, that is the principality behind all Jezebel spirits. No the USA is not the 'great city', that was Babel, the source of her influence. Yes, liberty is one of her symbols. Even the base of the Statue of liberty is a representation of the tower of babel.

There are two main principalities behind all female evil. They were called Asherah and Ashtoreth in the Canaanite pantheon. Asherah is behind all 'mother earth' witchcraft.

If so many churchgoers ran across the spirit of Jezebel, then how did it get spread out so widely? Are there demon-clones, or Speedy Gonzales transporters.... it just doesn't reason out well.

Consider that the unusual laughter was still demonic, but delighted that they were once again able to divide and conquer.

It isn't ONE spirit. It is a large group of spirits under one principality.

The familiar spirit that was in Queen Jezebel will be operating through Ashtoreth's high priestess of the world. When I was in conflict with the prime candidate for next worldwide high priestess, the then current worldwide high priestess was in a temple in India and was very old.

Ashtoreth wanted the next worldwide high priestess to be in the USA because of our rise to power since WWII.
