God wants ALL our hearts and obedience. The rich young ruler was willing to follow God in the commandments, but he wasnt able to follow through with the things that really mattered to him - his wealth.
We have to give Him whatever He wants of us, including the things we don't want to let go of.

Lets be reasonable here, you have a valid point, some may think they can get into heaven with works alone, but James said faith without works is dead. He said some say they have faith and some say they have works, but James said he will show his faith by his works. Some people think We can have faith without works and some think they can have works without faith, but it seems to be true that faith without works is not faith at all.

I would like to eventually consolidate each Chapter w/o verse #s, as I did with John Chapts 14-17 [which are my favorite chapts in the Bible btw] and it just seems to flow so much better IMHO
.
Takes a lot of time tho, since punctuation isn't in the greek texts, so I normally look at about a half a dozen bible translations to help out.

I'm the one that talked about feeling welcome, so I have to ask, are you describing your impression of me when you mention mocking people all day? I am curious, and that seems to be what you are saying, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions. Personally, I thought you and I were cool. Is that not true?
