Basically I'm wondering if it's sinful. This isn't in reference to something sexual, this is preemptive.

Basically by 'physical affection' I mean something like 'hugging Jesus, cuddling him' etc. I'm not trying to make something sacred and holy into something bad or anything like that.

If there is nothing wrong with it, where in the Bible does it show examples of this between God and people?

Um well, what more do you need to know? No offense intended but I thought what I put was self-explanatory. I mean like w/any close intimate relationship you generally feel comfortable w/expressing physical affection.

I'm not referring to romantic relationships/marriage but close friendships, family you're close with (biological) as well as your 'church family' (brothers and sisters in Christ).

I don't really no how else to explain it, the info I described above is really the best I know how to clarify.

Well, God is a Spirit, so the exchange will not be physical, but it will be spiritual in nature.
now having said that, i have felt myself being surrounded by God's love for me. there was nothing physical about it, but my spirit felt and recognized His love all around me, and I knew that His love was directed towards me specifically.

I have also had times when worshiping Him that I could feel His holiness, His majesty, and His righteousness. all i could do was to bow before Him on my knees with my face to the ground in recognition of Who and What He was.

And i have danced before Him.
When that happened the whole room was filled with the Glory of the Holy Spirit. it was just as though a whole orchestra had been tuning their instruments to a single note, and all played in unison; it was like the harnessed and focused power of a single note. that feeling remained in that room thru worship service the next day.

I hope that this helps a bit to answer your question.:)

The book SOS addresses this ...

Do you realise how many titles a search for 'SOS' reveals? Is one supposed to guess which one you mean?

I have no idea what the OP is on about, but Jesus made a curious remark in John 20:17 regarding physical touch.

Sounds good to me...
When I hug others in Christ I often picture Christ hugging me or me hugging Christ.

I know of someone who was very intimate with Christ.
His name is John and he use to lay His
head on the Saviors chest while John and all his fellow
disciples would hang out with Jesus.

John refers to himself throughout his gospel account as the disciple whom
Jesus loved. Not that Jesus only loved John but that John really got
the whole love of God for him revelation as expressed in Jesus Christ...

Out of all the disciples only John survived the attempts on his life
by those who were killing the disciples of Christ.

Tradition says that they tried to boil John in a vat of oil and
they could not.

I often wonder if John trusted so much in his loving savior that
God was free to deliver him even out of a vat of boiling oil.

What is faith?
With faith all things are possible...right?

Isn't faith nothing more than complete trust in Christ based on His love for us?

I want to be like John and lay my head on my saviors chest
and know His love for me and to love Him back without shame.
I can...in my heart I can picture myself in the arms of Jesus with
my head on his chest....

Read 1st John and you will see exactly what John realized about His
Lord and savior Jesus Christ and the power of love that comes from the Father
through the Son, Jesus the lover of our souls.

SOS = Song of Solomon, a book in the Old Testament. :)

 AKA Song of Songs (sorry) Beautiful book, no matter what you call it.

"I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, till he please."

That is said three times; 2:7, 3:5, 8:4. Think that makes it important? ;)
