• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you agree that christians should keep the 10 Commandments? (4)

Still stuck in Galatians. I would love to see you post something besides only faith. Doesn't Paul teach other things? All things are done in faith but Paul taught us the complete Will of God. Aren't you missing a couple things? Love and holiness? We obey love thy neighbor because Jesus commanded in His written word. Are we hoping in the law and not Christ by obeying love thy neighbor or the commandment to forgive? Obeying the law that the Apostles gave us is the law.

if you understood all the riches of the litle book of galatians, you would not be making your elemental argument.:p

Again, if u had talked about 3;3 with me, and what was meant by perfecting by self strength, you would live in galatians also.

The link just takes you to the top of this page. To answer your question...

NO...this thread is NOT about commandments....the title of this thread (and the 3 others which preceded it) is "Do you agree that christians should keep the 10 commandments? (4)" This question has been answered over and over again. You and many others agree that the Christisn should keep the 10 commandments and focus on "law pushing" on the ones who do not agree that Christians should keep the 10 commandments...and those who do not agree with the "law pushers" are condemned and judged for their belief that the Christian is under GRACE. We are labeled as "antinominianists" or just plain "lawless".

The link takes you right to my post, perhaps you didn't look.

Abstaining from adultery is in the 10 Cs and is also NT teaching because its Gods will. I cannot only post what you want because it would not show the whole will of God. May i suggest you start a thread about faith? We're discussing Gods commandments which includes abstaining from fornication and adultery. We are not only talking about salvation through faith. We are also talking about the Will of God that is done in faith. Do you want to shut down discussion on the will of God? Faith without the works of the law is represented and we should also represent the rest of Gods will.

Still stuck in the Law? We would love to see you post something beside fornication and adultery. Doesn't Paul teach other things? Aren't you missing a lot of things? (we already know the answer to that, but figured we'd put forth the question anyway) We obey Love thy neighbor because we love Christ, not because of commandments. (which, by the way, are not for the Gentile Believers)

:D

good one! stuck in law, and always talking about fornication!:D

Sir, you are most witty..Sheina must enjoy your company.

yep, and u know what else, those who keep talking about a certain sin, are the very ones who are under that sin, the law arouses it, and they keep talling about it, in an endless cycle of habitual law power. I don't mean anyone here on this thread though.:D

My brother, with all due respect, I ask with humility, because we are family, in a roundabout way. Are you having serious struggles, that you would like to confess, and then we can all talk about it, to help you, and to show u how grace is stronger than sin, as per Rom 6;14, as your answer?.:)

We are here to help you.

As a matter of fact he does teach something besides faith and you wouldn't like it eather. He very clearly teachs we aren't subject to the law.

well, in all fairness u do talk about those sins alot, which does indeed show how the law arouses the flesh, but if you don't walk under law, the flesh will not dominate you. Always rerady to listen if you need a big brother.:)

We are subject to the will God. We're never going to agree and we misrepresent the Lord this way. You don't want compromise and understanding you want to remove the Will of God from the debate. Forget it.

do u get what I mean? that the constant harping on sin, shows the law has one bound in sin, hence the repetition of said sins in conversation?

Reading the scriptures and fearing the Lord has brought me a long way. I come to Christian Forums because i need support but instead i get disrespected and counted as a fool. I guess i not the only fool. :)
If you really seek support for your ideas, you should participateonly in the Traditional SDA forum. They believe waht you're saying. But I really don't buy your statement as the facts, as in Joe Friday's just the facts mam.
