Here is something I always wondered. I know religion was outlawed during the cultural revolution, but the Chinese government seems to have gotten more lax after Mao died. What religion are most of the Chinese now? And what were they 100 some years ago. Buddhist comes to mind, but there aren't that many Buddhists and China has 1.5 billion people, did that change recently?My guess is that after the USA collapses under the weight of debt and the anti intellectualism of the fundies, the Chinese who own and run everything will not care if creationism flourishes among the factory workers.
Chinese nationals own 99% of the wealth in philippines and some other countries in SE Asia. They dont try to stamp out Catholicism, its the opiate of the masses.
