CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Two men in a bed is obviously a reference to our times, but I think the lord has made a pretty bold statement here.

The point is, the real rapture will happen in the twinkling of an eye, even if you are asleep. Now God has thought of everything, including physical nakedness. Those who are raptured will be given white robes.
So if you interpret watching to mean going outside and falling for one of these holograms of Jesus followed by Levitation, then we have missed the point. The point is to be observing, learning, and spiritually ready.

I believe the idea that your clothes will be laid in a neatly folded pile or in a heap on the floor is really not found in scripture, as we can see those waiting in Rev. 6:11 are not mentioned as being naked but simply given a white robe

It seems to be a record of the same conversation, interesting, thank you. This would require some study into why there seems to be a discrepancy. Of course, it is possible that Jesus said both these things and the authors only mentioned the one they thought pertinent. Thanks for that, I had not noticed that before

Two men in a bed with women grinding? Where is this written ?I'm not familiar with this passage. If the bible does indeed say this then it probably meant the men were hunters or fishers sleeping in a tent while the women were outside grinding the mornings coffee.

It could also mean a couch, sofa, etc. There is no context of what the men were doing. They could be brothers. It doesn't say "men" in Greek. It says two (being masculine - the assumption is they are male). I'm sure you've slept next to your sibling at some point in time when you were little.

thank you Aibrean, that clears that up a good deal. It is important, though, to distingush so as not to be deceived. We are told to be watching in these days. We are also told to have lots of oil for our lamps, the Holy Spirit, our fiery devotion to God within. Getting extra oil may very well mean seeking out the separate baptism of the Holy Spirit.

I know what Jesus said in the bible and how it plays out when he returns. He said there would be loud trumpets, etc in the sky and other various signs.
Please forgive me as I am still learning but I do take his word literal and if this fake rapture stuff were to happen then it might just confuse me (and others) being new Christians. We might just fall for it. I really need to read over Revelations more.
