• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's wrong? can't peer-review God?
What's wrong is that however many times people explain to you why your idea doesn't work, you carry on regardless.

Embedded Age is Omphalos. There is no such thing as age without the passage of time, just like there's no such thing as friction burn without friction. That's how the words are defined.

And yet there is such a thing as Omphalos?

Yes there is and in English it is called the "belly button". Now if Adam had one then why did God put it there? Since a belly button is an indication that one was born out of a womb and not from dust.

Did Adam have an omphalos?

No, I'm not saying that Omphalos is real, I'm saying that if you remove the self-contradictory aspects of Embedded Age, you're left with Omphalos.
What self-contradictory aspects?

your trying to separate things that cannot by definition be separated. Age, Time and History. Its like your trying to convince us that a square without corners exists.

If God can make any word mean the opposite, or something else entirely, then we can read absolutely anything into God's word.

I'm glad you cleared that up for me.

This "literalism" lark's a scream, isn't it?

Ya -- I heard rumors to that effect.

What history?

33

So Adam doesn't have a belly button because that would mean something happened before he was formed that would require him to have one, yes? namely, it would indicate that he was once inside a womb and had an umbilical cord attached. Since he was formed from dust, or dirt, or whatever you want to call it, Adam was never in a womb, never had an umbilical cord and thus does not have a belly button.

Am i right with this?

That's why only God can do it.
Can god make a square without corners? Show me. Show me a real world example of something with age and no history. I already know of your bike example, and please don't use it unless your willing to entertain the idea that Adam was a Frankenstein monster, or that the materials god used existed well before he did.

It is also a state of existence.
perhaps. But any state with an age has a history.

Your simply blind to the processes involved. Its funny that you get so hung up on a belly button but you ignore all of earths scars that must be embedded.
