Okay,
I know this will be shocking to everyone but here goes...
I am a Torah Observant Christian Man which means I have hair down to my shoulders (gasp)... Yes I know what 1 Corinthians 11 says but I also know what Lev. 19 says and the two must be reconciled together instead of being mutually opposed... Without getting to debate (which this thread is not about) my beliefs are that men hair should not be shorter then shoulder length which is biblically defined as short opposed to long hair which is from lower back downward and uncut (shorned). So with that said and knowing I have shoulder length hair which is still new to me since I came to this conviction about 2 years ago and took me a year to grow it in I have some questions for all those ladies who have longer length hair and hair care....
So what do you ladies do to prevent hair breakage and stubborn hair fly-aways from it? I believe that hair for men should be longer but I also believe it should be kempted and not sloppy looking. I have tried to go down the organic/natural way of keeping hair, Washing a few times a week with baking soda, doing organic conditioner rinse on other days, deep conditioning with coconut oil and jojoba oil, using only wide tooth combs, etc. But due to medicines I have been on it has not been enough and I have numerous stubborn hair breakage that just won't stay down.
I still believe organic and natural is the best way to go but not always possible due to said issues so I discovered the John Frieda Line and started to using their conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hair serum, and smoothing creme which has helped but still have to many hair breakage very day.
I should say that I do take internal required vitamins, Biotin, Iron, B5, B6, B12, and D3.
But I still have problems which does not look very nice and forget about a pony tail, every time I try one I use a hair full of hair in the process..
So what do you all do? and What do you recommend?
