Seebs, you're a tireless debator that wouldn't know truth if it bit him ;) so I'm not responding to your post other then what I've just said.

I asked you to clarify your point. If you want to provided a reference to support that point okay. Just make it. When I presented London Mosquitoes to you as evidence of speciation, I didn't post a link and say, "There." I actually explained in a clear manner the findings of the paper. So far I can't figure out what point you are trying to make with respect to that reference. That is all I'm asking you to clarify.

Isn't this starting to push the boundaries of polite debate?

I really can't understand the point you're trying to make about "directed" and "random". Could you try to explain it in more detail?

Not tonight, maybe next week. I need to install an acrobat program so I can show you some clips from that article, or you could just go read it, since you're always here and have extra time ;)

Heh. Fair enough, I'll try to remember to get to it. So much stuff to read, so little time.

Well thanx anyways.

Here is an explaination why Evolution via selection is not considered random. It only needs three things for it to occur.
  1. Heritable variation in a population
  2. Differential viability and/or fertility
  3. 1 must correlate with 2
    [/list=1]

It is the third point which introduces nonrandomness. If reproductive success is independent of heredity, then selection cannot occur. In other words, if the association of success with a gene in a given environment is not random then selection occurs.

Your basic doctrine, AV, is a laughing stock everywhere except for a few hick churches in the bible belt. The bottom line is that being a bible literalist and believing in adam and eve and the rest of the fairy tales requires a deliberate act of will. It demands you remain ignorant of anything that might challenge your beliefs (witness your attitude to whole libraries of books), it demands ignoring the real world if it contradicts the bible (witness your boolean standards - if ever there was a self signed statement of stupidity it is your boolean standards) and it demands maintaining an arrogant belief that your transparently absurd, idiotic, ignorant, moronic beliefs are in some way evidence of your superior mental gifts.

Yes, I agree that helping you out of the tragic mental prison of your own beliefs is hopeless, but I wish you could see the real reason why it is hopeless.

What's this all about?

I saw the original post.
Perhaps they just thought it would be good to show it again? by the way, is Tomatomans assessment of you and creationism true or is it all lies?

if evolution is true it basicly means your worthless, your life is pointless. Although some on here try to distance themselves from the big bang, its taught almost hand in hand with evolution, which if its true, it means you life is worthless due to the fact the big bang was an accident, yeah you just happen to be here cause this chance accident happened in other words you were created or designed with in purpose, so your worthless. However I believe the good Lord has a purpose for my as well as everyones life, cause God created us, He made and designed us for a purpose.

I do not in any way wish to distance myself from the big bang, In fact, I find more beauty in the scientific view than I ever did in the creation fable...

Listen, if you will...

I can assure you -- as can others -- that his assessment is quite erroneous.

I have not only quoted what Peter said about embedded age, I have quoted Adam Clarke and a line from Wikipedia.

This is not something I made up.

And comes in different forms from multiple parties. In light of its emergence, it appears to be some sort of rally call. Bugles sounding the anthem of allegiance. Very peculiar behavior.

They can play their bugles, if they want.

I'm waiting for the trumpet to sound!

;)
It has already sounded. The army is on the march. And, AV1611VET stands with his hands over his ears because it didn't play the tune he wanted to hear.

:sigh:

I believe you got the idea from your pastor. Where he got it, I don't know, but it certainly was not from the apostle Peter. We've seen the scripture you quoting in support of embedded age, and it has nothing to do with God embedding age into anything that was created mature. We have repeatedly falsified it here in this forum, in any case.

Ya -- just like you guys "falsify" Mary being a virgin, right?
You do have something there, no one can say one way or the other what is true and what is not true so what happens now?

Here's an idea, let's put out the biggest load of rubbish we can imagine and swear that it's true, who knows it might even be true but who cares if it is or not just as long as some fools believe it, we could even start our own religion,
I have heard that there is a mug born every minute, we could clean up.
