  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (11)

You volunteered to get a shot too!

Last summer getting everything taken care of for nursing school, we discovered through titers that I was not immune to mumps which is unusual for one my age. So, I had to get the MMR as they don't have mumps alone.

We sure enjoyed our time in WI over the weekend. I realized just how much I miss living there. Perhaps it's this time of year or something, but I miss our old church, our kids and our friends. Hope we can live there again someday.....

I know exactly what you mean, Ang! We'll be doing some looking around for possible, future spots to settle while knocking around San Antonio.

Oh, that's neat. I really hope to move back to WI someday. It sure doesn't look possible right now though.

Hey Porter, are you and the 'Bloke' headed back to the U.S?

Sis, sufficient for the day... It'll take time to heal from the current situation. Very glad to hear you're home safe and sound after a pleasant visit.:)

Anyone around here interested in Model Trains? I have a medium sized layout that I'm considering selling. In fact, it's likely going to a bit past considering and more a likely reality, shortly. Anyway, I have a complete right-of-way and considerable rolling and traction stock. All I have to do is finish the inventory... I so love inventorying.:aarh:

Yep - we have some healing to do. After dec 21st, perhaps we can get on with life.

Hope you can make good money on your trains. I'm sure it's tough to get rid of them.

I've learned to love thick wool socks and really appreciate all the sheep around here! There's nothing like 'em. When the fuzzies don't cut it, they do do the trick. I only know this because last winter my feet got so cold I grabbed the thickest thing I could find in my husband's old bedroom. They didn't look too sexy, but I'm sure they improved my mood. ^_^

Stude, we all plan to return to the US in the near future to some extent. We realize my parents aren't getting any younger and the time will come when being closer to them will be best for everyone. We should have a few years, though.

G, a mixture of LGB, Aristocraft, Bachmann, and Lionel all the same gauge, though different scales. If someone was interested in a really good start on a layout, this would be a great way to do so.

Oh Filo, yeah except I'd have to use a really fine shot for the squirrels. they have a tendency of moving into the buildings and I don't want to damage the real-estate too much (LOL). As to the rest, they'd have to be dropped outside the layout. Elsewise, when they fall it would be disastrous!:doh:George won't allow me to shoot at the goats, or I'd use rock salt for them.;)
