In other words: fudge the data so it meets your requirements? No thanks.
Fair enough.

The only alternative I can suggest then, is to keep looking.

Maybe if you dig down another 10 feet or so, you'll find a correlated layer.

Or because he's been laughing at your self-serving bologna as long as the rest of us have?
I doubt it.

Especially since it says 'Newbie' under his name.

(Really, Nathan, that was [another] rookie error on your part.)
Really, AV -- this thread's pathetic, even by your "standards."
Yes -- since I don't go by evidence, I guess I am lowering my standards somewhat.

Would you recognize a straight answer if you saw one?
Of course I would. It's easy to spot because it's the sort of answer I get from nearly everyone on this forum with the exception of you.

What I don't understand is why you so seldom give straight answers. If you're not here to communicate your point effectively then why are you here?

Maybe it's the way you guys word your questions that tell me you're not really looking for an answer?

Maybe it's because I've made the point many times before?

Maybe because I'm not supposed to answer an atheist according to his own philosophy, or I'll sound just like him?

Proverbs 26:4 ¶ Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

Maybe the question has blasphemy and ridicule embedded in it?

And maybe you'd like to compare how many times I don't get straight answers, either?

Now we all know why we should stop answering AV's challenges. ;)
Frumious, let me remind you that calling a Christian an atheist is a reportable offense, eh?

(That's kind of a new low for you, is it not?)

Did it ever occur to you that they did dig down -- and found exactly what was expected to be found in a dried up lake; no more, no less?

I was referring to Split Rock... Rookie.

You've been more or less at rock-bottom (your own self-esteem) insofar as standards go for as long as I've been reading your posts -- what's left?

Do you know what 'another ten feet' means?

And how's come you're suddenly acting like you were there, when I just created this thread a few hours ago?

It would only be true if Frumious interprets the Proverbs passage the same way as AVET, which he doesn't.

Nor does anyone else -- AV, in his usual vain attempts to sound clever, often tries to suck people into his little fantasies, where everything (especially including) means only what he says it does.

I wasn't calling you an atheist. If you can't figure out what I was implying then it kind of proves my point.

You knew fine well what I meant so quit trying to play tedious semantic games.

Now, now -- the man's trying to sound clever.

Let him have his tedious semantics -- we already know he's got nothing else supporting his points.

Why not just ignore AV? He is clearly not intrested in accepting a history that is not biblically literal. His faith is obviously a major component of his life and causes him to believe and say some rather ridiculous things. This does not however, make him a bad person. Leave him and his beliefs alone if he is happy with them, answering these sementic games only causes confusion for yourselfs :)

Because he then tries to pass himself off as some sort of authority, and if unchallenged, there's always a possibility that some poor lurker or newbie won't see through him.

As an educator, I couldn't have that on my conscience, especially since showing his self-serving bologna for what it is is no difficult task.
