"Science is racist" is nonsense.
Is that what Darwin said in The Preservation of Favoured Races?

If so, would you cite the page number, please?

You never fail to get things wrong do you? or are you doing it deliberately?

'Favoured Races' refers to races of SPECIES and NOT races of people, the HUMAN RACE being just one of many many SPECIES.

Please highlight in red the word(s) that are wrong.

Yes, I know what he meant by 'favoured races'.

Why so defensive?

Nice try, bro; but I would say that, in the eyes of contemptuous scientists, the Indians were nothing more than ignorant, flint-age, tepee-dwelling buffalo herders.

A moot point, considering the Christians killed most of them off for daring to live on land that they wanted.

"Grandfather, Great Spirit, you have been always, and before you no one has been. There is no other one to pray to but you. You yourself, everything that you see, everything has been made by you. The star nations all over the universe you have finished [created]." -- Black Elk, medicine man, Black Elk Speaks, August 1930

Question: So what?

Because you're being disingenuous in order to make something you disagree with look like something it's not -- and by your own admission, you know it.

Now, perhaps such lying and misrepresentation is part of your "basic doctrine," but most people take offense to it.

It's pathetic, AV -- even for you.

Excuse me, that is part of the title of the book, is it not?

You guys do it too, only you use the part, Origin of Species, or Origins, and that is disingenuous as well.

In fact, the whole title is one big lie.

I don't believe in Origins, I believe in Genesis.

Anyone who unquestioningly believes the contents of a book over the evidence of the world around them is just plain stupid.
And what 'evidence around me' clearly says Genesis 1 didn't happen?

All the evidence that shows the world is older than 6000 years, as well you know. Of course, you, AV, are barmy enough to think god made it to look old, like a forger artificially ageing a fake Rembrandt, but as this isn't mentioned in genesis, one struggles to see your justification for believing it other than you are trying desperately to make the bible fit the evidence around you. Which is stupid.

Fair enough then -- I'll assume you weren't talking about me then.

In theory there should be no such thing as an adult creationist because common sense should have won through long before they became adults...
So there's no such thing as murders, muggers, rapists, thieves, kidnappers, extortioners or pick-pockets?

I was talking about you, AV, but I'm aware you make your beliefs up as you go along and have very little shame in denying something on the strength of a semantic quibble, so what you claim not to believe today can turn out to be exactly what you believe tomorrow. The bottom line is that you believe the bible over the real world, which, as I said, is stupid.

You know better, AV -- and the saddest part of all is, you know that you know better.

It's just a sad thing to watch, AV -- you used to occasionally post things which would raise some legitimate questions -- granted, such posts were few, far between, and usually inintentional, but they were there.

Look at yourself now -- I mean really, just look at yourself. Continually playing ignorant in order to do -- what, exactly? Do you even know anymore? Does it matter anymore, as long as people pay attention; any kind of attention, to you?

Now the few people who know that you're only playing stupid no longer care -- it's pathetic. You used to be better than this -- not much, granted, but better nonetheless.

It pains me to see what you're doing to yourself -- you have my pity.

That's not what you said before -- go back and look at it:
Anyone who unquestioningly believes the contents of a book over the evidence of the world around them is just plain stupid.
You quietly dropped the "evidence" after I called you on it, didn't you?

And even when I called you on it, you misrepresented what I actually believe:
Of course, you, AV, are barmy enough to think god made it to look old, like a forger artificially ageing a fake Rembrandt...
You, Nathan and Split Rock all three together can't explain what I believe -- so I'll just take your ridicule with a modicum of sodium chloride.
