  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

over the last 6 Months I have had Holsten Pils , just a couple of cans a week . It went down great in those hot weeks when I was up to my eyes in decorating . served at the right temp this is still a big fav of mine and I am not really a lager drinker but for this I will alwys make an exception .

btw , still have a bottle of cognac in my pantry , had it for aout 3-4 years my brother bought it me as a present , don't know what to do with it , it's a bit strong for me :)

I have a bottle of Absolut vodka in my kitchen cabinet that was brought over 2-3 years ago by a guest, I also don't know what to to with it. I wish he had brought a lagered beer. :)

I love strong, dark beers in the winter time. In out of the cold and into a warm, irish style pub.

Just tried Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout the other night, 9% alcohol. Absolutely wonderful!

the best tipple I had one winter was from a local micro brewery attached to a pub , it was called "Bingle Jells" and i think it was 9% ......

I have a Santa Claus ale somewhere , I think it was around 20% proof brewed in Switzerland , i never did drink it ^_^

Any thoughts on Canadian whisky? At one time it was world famous but now...is it still famous?

CC is made and bottled 45 min. away from my place and everyone around here drinks it but I find it plain, most people drink it with ginger ale or coke. If you have to mix it, it's not really worth drinking...is it?
