Nahh, just the parts that disqualify the evilutionists from being TrueChristians(TM).

Because the Bible was really given to the Church as a means of weeding out the sheep from the goats, y'know? Heaven forbid that we actually, hmm, read it. And learn from it.

Do you guys think YEC is primarily an American thing? I know that Ken Ham is from Austrailia but I'm wondering if that most YECs are American. Or are they the most vocal? I've heard people like N.T. Wright say that in Britain it isn't really that prevalent and I was wondering if that was true of other places as well.

The United States is next the worst, just above Turkey (where the creationism is not Christian-based, but is Muslim). Australia isn't on there, but I'm pretty sure they'd fall in the middle.

Easily - there just needs to be an absence of the attitude common to many YECs (and yes, to be fair some TEs are like this too, but they're far, far rarer) that if you're a TE you're some kind of compromised/fake/apostate Christian.

I have no problem at all with YEC being a common belief in a church, even if I was the only one that thought otherwise, I have no issue with someone disagreeing with me, but when they disparage my faith and my job, and try and dictate how both should be conducted, they cross a line.
