The real question is who is doing the searches.

If you are actively seeking an abortion, you would expect to see that user searching for the term 'abortion' only a few times as you collect research into the safety, cost, and alternatives.

If you are pro-life though, you may very well search for abortion on a near constant basis. You could be looking into politician's views (hint: R means pro-life) or arguments against abortion, really anything.

If the majority of the bias comes from people searching for abortion, there are explanations for this as well which the article mostly addressed, but I really doubt that this group is the majority.

That makes a lot of sense, despite the fact that conservative states have higher abortion rates. But then judging from the article, it's easy to come to the conclusion that people who live in conservative states or more obsessed with abortion. Who knows, really.

Murder, slaughter, and evil.

Sums it up best.

Regardless on whether it's banned or not women that are desperate still get it. By legalizing you merely make it safer for the health of the mother, you also make it easier to get information/advice which can help young women make the decision NOT to get it done.

Furthermore, as much as my religion may inform on the matter, I can see no SECULAR reason for a cut off at conception, and a secular reason is required for a secular government to ban a practice.

people who are prolife are actually INFORMED about it. i hope and pray i see the day when abortion is outlawed and we can stop the slaughter of millions of babies everyday.

prochoice: yes, I guess murder is a choice isn't it?
Millions of babies every day, huh?

a baby is a blessing. a lot of couples can't have children for lots of reasons, many of them would give there left arm to become pregnant. its a gift from God and it is LIFE. if we want to be a civilized society we must condem this brutal, brutal practice. i encourgae you to go to youtube and watch an abortion demonstration. then if you come back and still say what you said before, then we will know what u believe. but dont say theres no secular reason to ban abortions, if we are a society we should condem this

You've pontificated a lot about "civilized society" (despite many civilized societies, heck, I'd wager all, having some system of abortion - usually via a herbal method). You have yet to provide a solid grounded reason why life=conception. Or at least, why human life=conception.

I'll give you that if you're an animal rights vegan that believes ANY life has value that means we shouldn't kill it, then you have a point. Otherwise, demonstrate, without mention of "soul" or "inherent value" why a 3 week old embryo is human life.

So... what's your secular reason to ban abortions?

And yep, I'm sure watching an abortion sure looks unpleasant. Watching an anal fistula get repaired looks unpleasant too. It doesn't mean we should make the procedure illegal. I know you're new here, but appeals to emotion of and by themselves don't cut a lot of ice here.

And that's a single doctors take on when life begins. However, what makes the union between the two sets of chromosomes so much more spcial than the single set earlier? Why set that up as the point at which life begins (or at least human life)?

If you believe this is true, any reason as to why this may be?

Family won't tolerate her having sex outside of marriage? A wild guess.

It happens in Muslim countries too, if a girl get pregnant, she will seek a way to get rid of the baby so nobody will knows.
