That is like saying laws that outlawed homosexuality weren't causing too much trouble till the 21st century when someone finally sued. It can be cause a lot of trouble, but people don't want more trouble by having to do a law suit.

Actually I would argue that it took a lot of courage to face public ridicule by proclaiming oneself to be gay until recently, so the same note doesn't really apply. People are not nearly as afraid to proclaim themselves gun owners. By that estimation, the homosexual community has been moving rather quickly in the last few years to fight these laws.

It's called sweeping (it used to be done with actual brooms) and it removes condensation that forms from the air on the ice surface. The condensation can slow down the rock. Evenly sweeping in front of the rock helps it maintain speed (and letting up on the sweeping will slow it down), while uneven sweeping (ie - more on one side than the other) can help it curl more.

I never said it was one sided (or even said I wasn't part of it), I just find it sad that you consider some people taking offense to being called abominations and fornicators as being the intolerant party.

Hmm good point. While I'm probably one of the few who didn't hate Twilight, just because I enjoy vampire movies, I think I'd prefer the non-sparkly variety - ala Interview with the Vampire or Underworld.

Well, as someone who has struggled with their orientation their entire lives, involving severe depression and suicidal tendencies, I get offended when people like onemorequestion continue to spew lies about some "Gay Agenda" and rent boys, and evil abominations going to Hell.

But it's not like it's not expected. What bothers me more, is the fact that these people seriously believe they are doing God's work and are presenting the truth. Can someone please explain to me the difference between all these conservative right wing Christians spewing hate over this Prop 8 decision and the Westboro Baptist Church? Aside from the protesting funerals, the treatment of gays seems to be similar to me.
