CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS I'm grateful for the cool, although somewhat humid, breeze outside right now. I, however, am NOT looking forward to driving in the rain that will probably start when I have to get on the road in another hour or so.

IJWTS~ My weekend is going good so far. Spent like 5 hours doing volunteer work with a friend I don't get to see as much as I would like to. I got to drive by the house I was interested in that I saw online (for buying it), and I really like it up close, though I need to see the inside if I'm going to decide on going after it more. I'm heading out to the nudist park in a couple hours, which means swimming, bodypainting, possibly volleyball, and hanging out and talking with people. Then after that I get to go visit a summer camp to talk to some friends.

Predictably eccentric and honestly hypocritical
IJWTS- that while I love that my sister has a great fiance who sends her beautiful roses when she tells him she had a bad day- sometimes it is a little hard not to sigh when she sends me a pic of them and wish for my own nice guy. And flowers.

IJWTS: I just watched probably all but 20 minutes of Avatar. One of the BEST movies I've seen in a LONG time! I don't care if the plot isn't original, the movie was VERY well done! I just wish I could have seen the ending.
