  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I meant to say The Division Bell. Most people don't like it because it's not a Watters album.

Yeah, I wish Waters had remained in the band. But I LOVE the songs "A Great Day for Freedom" and "High Hopes." A Great Day for Freedom sounds just like The Wall and could easily fit onto that CD.

So Photini, how was the trip to the botanical garden?

It was rainy and cold. =( So all of the performances were moved inside. It made it challenging to get good pics of the shows. It quit raining later in the afternoon so we made a quick lap around the garden (it is HUGE) and I was able to get some pics of flowers with rain drops all over them...which was cool. I also got a big blister on my toe from all the walking. LOL It's all good though. I got some great shots. I'll be putting them up on Facebook sometime today.

Comfortably numb. Hands down. Saw them in Madison, WI. mumble mumble years ago. BEST...SHOW...EVER!

I never got to see Floyd, but I did see Roger Waters in 2006. He was awesome. His 2nd set was the entire "Dark Side of the Moon." It rocked. He ended the show with Comfortably Numb. It rocked even more.

:confused: It wasn't an idea. It was a necessity, since it had been raining all day. It was either that, or go home with nothing. And check it out. You can see one of the buildings reflected upside down in this raindrop!

The guy I was dating at the time surprised me with the tickets and didn't tell me where we were going until we got there. It was in the UofW football stadium and was PACKED. That was in...'94 I THINK. Maybe '93. That was too long ago for me to remember what they played, but I do remember Comfortably Numb. Roger Waters is going to be around me in Sept and Oct, but it might take me until then to save up that much $$$!!

Yeah the tickets for here are really $$$$$$. I think Mrs. G wants to go though. It might be worth it. He is playing "The Wall."

Ah, ok. I understand what you meant in the previous post. Sorry, I'm slow. Still tired from the long day yesterday and spending all day going through the nearly 500 pics I took yesterday. I've only showcased a small segment of them! LOL The rest are very similar. I've tried to show off like one or two shots from each set of flowers that I got.

Kaylee was calling me the "Flower Paparazzi" yesterday. :D

That is funny she said that. Lori says I planted her a rose garden so that I could photograph it!
