Seems like we forgot 'during'. Have we evidence from the direction of the marks if any, (shocked quartz) that the stuff impacting the earth wasn't coming upwards? Fountains of the deep would have been coming up from down.
How do we get craters? 1 impacts from astronomical objects. 2 volcanic activity.

Flood isn't on that list. Also, shocked quartz is definitive evidence of impact causation.

Aww Cactus, don't you know? Water always rearranged the molecular structure of quartz in the past state -- as well as anything else dad needs it to do.

A christian using Greek Gods to explain craters?
Zeus-Ammon is just another manifestation of God.

it's actually fairly typical of the debate style of creationists: any argument is fair game as long as it's unscientific, antiscientific, and/or mythological.
Correct.

"My first and last philosophy, that which I believe in with unbroken certainty, I learnt in the nursery. ... The things I believed most then, the things I believe most now, are the things called fairy tales. They seem to be the entirely reasonable things. They are not fantasies: compared with them other things that are fantastic. ... Fairyland is nothing but the sunny country of common sense." -- G. K. Chesterton, philosopher, Orthodoxy, Chapter IV: The Ethics of Elfland, 1909

"In fairy land we avoid the word 'law'; but in the land of science they are singularly fond of it." -- G. K. Chesterton, philosopher, Orthodoxy, Chapter IV: The Ethics of Elfland, 1909

Quoting a crazy person from 1909.
I can assure you Chesterton was as sane as a psychiatrist and the 1909 date is irrelevant.

If it was said in 190,009 B.C. it would still be true.

AoS, you've reached a new high. Don't think I've ever been as high as you. I'll have to give it a whirl when I get home.

Instead of letting Agonaces of Susa derail this thread like all the others he intentionally derails, why not just ignore him and let someone else answer the question the O.P. presented?

Thanks
I already gave the correct answer in post #2. No one has anything to add...

Craters in general, come from stuff falling to the earth from above. A lot of that stuff may have went up in the year of the flood. So craters here, and on the moon, etc are expected. However, the question is, specifically, was your Chix thing a crater or not? If so, prove it. Also, if there is shocked quartz in said deposit, talk about that, and the evidence we have..direction, etc.

In other words what, they grasp at some sort of evidence, rather than none? Let's see what you got.

They come from stuff falling in from outside the aymosphere, not just "above." Plus, they need to be large enough to make it through the atmosphere without buring up completelty. Show us a flood that caused impact craters and shocked quartz, dad. Just one will do.

So, you are a geologist in addition to being "God's Little Echo," huh? Impact craters are characterized by a specific shape and by shocked quartz. Plus, they normally leave behind metals if they were a metallic meteor or asteroid.

In other words what, they grasp at some sort of evidence, rather than none? Let's see what you got.
What do you have Little Echo? A faulty interpretation of scripture, and a fanciful imagination. Got anything else?

Why bother? You know he's just going to blather on about a "different state past" that always does whatever he wants it to.

Well, even Walt Brown envisioned stuff being propelled with great force up into space. This was even under present laws. Since the indications are that these laws were not here, meteors in some number are likely. Especially on the moon, and planets, as the debris would have shot out from the earth.

So, you are a geologist in addition to being "God's Little Echo," huh?

Great, so show us this special shape in Chix. Also, talk to us about the shocked quartz there, if any.
