"All marine fossils from 200 million years ago or earlier are found exclusively on continental locations -- just as expanding Earth theory predicts. That's because all large marine environments pre-Jurassic were epicontinental seas -- not oceans. Incredibly, if we deny expanding Earth theory, all the pre-Jurassic oceanic marine fossils must have vanished, along with all pre-Jurassic oceanic crust, as well as all of the fossils of all the trans-Pacific taxa that simply "walked" from one location to the other. Hmmm. Even your mainstream fixist geologist counterparts of the first half of the twentieth century didn't have to accept that many miracles." -- Dennis J. McCarthy, geoscientist, October 2003
Holy freakin' LOL man!

Please explain the 'expanding Earth' theory. This should be good.

When did you figure?

Do you have grounds for disagreement? Does water just cease to exist when it evaporates? Did my physics teacher lie to me? :o

Who said it's a theory?

Whether it is a theory, a random guess, or something in between, it still doesn't answer the question that I am asking.

Watch out, dies -- he'll probably quote JK Rowling to prove something scientific.

Expanding Earth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't see how this supports biblical literalism in regard to origins, however, because the circumference of the Earth has consistently been measured at 40,000 km for the last 2000+ years. IOW, there has been no noticeable change in the size of the Earth over the last 1/3 (from a biblical literalist perspective) of the Earth's existence. If, as expanding earth proponents suggest, the planet has been gradually expanding, this process must have been going on far longer than would several thousand years. Quite simply, even if it were a viable scientific theory, it would be irreconcilable with a young earth and certainly could not explain the rapid formation of "dry land" after a global flood that happened sometime in th last 6000-10000 years.

So, the question still remains, what happened to all the water?

Chicxulub is a crater that is over 110 MILES in diameter. The size of the asteroid that produced it is estimated at 6-9 miles. A rock that size or any event that would result in a crater of that size would devastate life on this planet. So creationists, was this crater produced before or after the flood? wouldn't the same flood that supposedly carved the grand canyon cover this up? And if the flood did cover it up some, then the original crater was even bigger and the destruction that much greater.

If it happened before not much would be left to worry about a flood, if it happened after then the life that was just recovering from the flood got rocked again and all within the last few thousand years.

Whether it happened before or after the flood, how did people or much of anything survive? Why isnt it mentioned in the bible? after all, whatever caused that crater would have been much more devastating than a Flood.

Creationists: how does Chicxulub fit in with the creation account?

I'm not a creationist, but I do enjoy wild speculation about implausible fictional scenarios, so I'm going to give it a shot...

The Chicxulub crater is not actually a crater from an meteorite impact, but it is the result of a terrible and devastating nuclear war between various factions of the antedilluvian civilization, using advanced technology that they recieved from fallen angels, which we can't even begin to comprehend. Life survived because the people probably also had advanced technology that eased their recovery.

At least, that's something I might believe if I were a creationist. I think it makes more sense than a water canopy at least...

The water is called the oceans. Furthermore, solar plasma the so-called solar wind blows off part of the Earth's atmosphere including water vapor. And water is broken down to form other elements and molecules when it mixes with subterranean fire.

Seems like we forgot 'during'. Have we evidence from the direction of the marks if any, (shocked quartz) that the stuff impacting the earth wasn't coming upwards? Fountains of the deep would have been coming up from down.
