Then Christianity is lie and a waste of time...
The virgin birth is an intentional mistranslation from the beginning... it was common 2000 years ago (see The Caesars, Alexander the Great, The Pharaohs, etc) to declare the rulers of a nation as being born of a virgin, and the son of god... Matthew and Luke seized upon this convention and applied it to their "king", Jesus. Octavian (Caesar Augustus is called: "The one to be worshiped, god, son of god, savior of the world".)
As far as the resurrection goes... the term means to dig up the dead... not come alive again. We resurrect Abraham Lincoln here in Illinois every year around February 12th. Not physically, but spiritually. What difference would it make to bring Lincoln back physically? All that matters is that we continually revive, raise and /or resurrect his spirit...
Jesus himself tells in his parable, even if someone would come back from the dead, you still would not believe... so listen to the law and the prophets! Faith doesn't come from miracles... faith comes doing the will of the Father.
Discussing this with you is a waste of time. The forum header says Christans only. There is no Christianity without a virgin birth and a physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the testimony of God concerning his son. No one here will force you to believe anything you do not want to believe but those who deny the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith are not Christians and should not be posting here. The other alternative is that you could accept the testimony of God concerning Jesus Christ and be saved.
1Jo 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Mt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Lu 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Ga 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ,
and God the Father, who raised him from the dead)
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain;
ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
