Mohammad set himself up as a prophet of God, and Bible students know that the completion of the Scriptures in AD 96 equals no more prophets.

As the story goes, Mohammad taught that God would redeem mankind by a threefold program:

1. Moses would take gentiles and convert them to Judaism.
2. Jesus would take Jews and convert them to Christians.
3. Mohammad would take Christians and convert them to Islams.

That is why he was friendly to Christians at first --- but when Christians who knew their Bibles refused to convert, calling him a false prophet, the true Mohammad came out.
