I think rings look better in gold, but everything else looks better in silver (or any silver-coloured metal). I don't wear jewellery, except maybe a simple necklace on special occasions, so I don't really know.

I think yellow gold is my choice in gold. If I had a choice of a watch or pendant material, though, it would be Tungsten due to its strength and looks. I have a Tungsten ring but they can be tricky because if your finger gets caught the ring cannot be cut!

I also love that kind that is black, but has kind of a......sheen or "oily" transition color thing. Anyone know what that is? You know, it's black but has some varying colors to it as you move it about in the light?

I like yellow gold, but not by itself. If it's a tangled Givenchy-esque chain necklace of white & yellow, yes. But a big, heavy plain yellow gold chain? No. I'm no guidette.

I personally don't like jewelry but I am good at picking it out for girls. Some girls do better with gold and others do better with silver. If I had to pick I would have to say I prefer silver, slightly.
