  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Biggest loser on CF.....

No time like the present!! I used to run everynight but then my trainers became worn out and a hole appeared in them, so I had to wait to get new trainers and by then I lost the enthusiam for it. I still go walking though, sometimes at 2am lol. I actually got stopped by the police whilst on one of my walks.^_^
Ha really? I've gotten stopped on my way to work by the police a few times. That was when I worked early mornings. Usually starting around 4am so I had to be up and out at about 3am. Now I work midnights! I get out of work before the sun even decides to wake up. Lol

Yep, they said that they wanted to check if I was this missing girl in my area. I would have been better off if they had left me alone, for some reason after they left..I was feeling a little creeped out. lol

Wow, now that is early..I don't think I could do that. That had to have messed up your sleeping routine and eating habits.

haha, do you like working at such strange times? :D. I know that I am a nightowl myself.

I love soup! So easy to make too. Also eggs. Mmmm. Eggs and CHEESE!!!
I think I eat too much cheese though...Lol

Maybe :p

I love soup too, my favourite is pea soup and everyone in my house loves it when I make it. :D

I wonder if you Canadians have a show similar to Come Dine With Me, where you have 5 people hosting dinner parties on different days in a competition to gain the most points. The scores are given by the fellow contestants. We are going to be doing our own version at my house :D

Wow, seems like everyone is off to a good start in here *hugs*
I've got my breakfast planned out, it's the lunch that needs work...
I think I'm tired of the frozen meals lol

Any ideas? I like turkey, so sandwiches are good, and soups are ok, but not the best.

 I wouldn't go with sandwiches unless you go with wheat free bread to be honest. Maybe you could bring a salad with you - put some pasta or rice, cashew nuts, lettuce, tomato, tuna, seeds, pesto etc in it. It doesn't have to be the usual boring salad, you can add flavour to it by experimenting.

Please cut out the frozen meals, they will make you put on weight and they are laden with salt!

I know we got a show called "Hells Kitchen" It's kind of like an adrenaline cooking show. The main guy in the show hosting it is always yelling. It's kind of funny actually.

We have Hell's Kitchen too. The first chef to be on it was Gordon Ramsay and it so funny to see him getting all worked up, but sometimes I think the snarkiness is taken too far and I end up feeling sorry for the contestants.

We also have a cooking show called the F-Word :sorry: with the aforementioned chef in it.

We have the L-Word show I think It's called. That's about it though. I guess our television networks kinda suck eh? Lol
I don't even watch much T.V anymore? Canceled my cable a while ago. Although when I did have cable I would always watch the discovery channel. And then a couple music channels. Opera, classical I think those are it. They don't have a wide selection but those 2 channels were good.

I normally use leftovers from the previous night's dinner for lunch the next day. I assume that you have a microwave/refrigerator?

What type of diet are you following? Low fat? High protein/low carb? Just eating "healthy"?

Hey...

Not many people I know have heard of "food combining for digestion" - but it's worth having a look at...because not only does undigested/partially digested (and fermenting) food place a burden on the system, but it can help clog you up over time and make it so you absorb less nutrients so that you need to eat more...which obviously adversely affects one's weight.

I'm getting sick and tired of TV too, most of the time they don't put any shows on that I find remotely interesting. I would watch the Discovery Channel if I had it. :o

When I move out from home (hopefully next year) I will be getting rid of tv.

Becksy, I guess it's a good thing I tired of those frozen meals lol
I did notice they had some salt, but some of them were beneficial.

I like the idea of a salad. I do love those and green beans :)
Sounds good, thanks.

Ok, you are welcome! By the way, you could always use google to find good recipes :p if you wanted :). The net can be such a great resource!. You could also try having stir-fries, fajitas, and noodles. Maybe even try some quorn and tofu because they are lower in fat and have more protein I think (no, I am not trying to convert you to vegetarianism....;)lol)

yeah, most of the tv shows on now are just not appropriate for me to watch anymore. The DC channel is good. I sometimes watch various stations depending on the shows. But yeah, sometimes it's hard to find a good show to watch. I watch CSI:Miami off and on, and Criminal Minds, but even those shows are too much sometimes.

I really love shows like Little House on the Prairie or Reba, and even some Disney Channel shows lol That's about it.
