The CF changeover has garbled my post a bit so when I have time I will go thru and fix it. Thanks to those who responded.]

Since I have a thread on Romans,

Book of Romans verse by verse study
Book of Romans verse by verse study

I thought I would start one on Galatians these 2 appear to be the most popular books of Paul in the NT.
I will put the verses exactly as they are shown in the greek text and will try to highlight a word in each one.

I hope those here are edified by it as much I as am.
Please feel free to add verses or to comment on ones I put up. God bless

#1453 used 144 times in 135 verses according to ISA. What is interesting as it is used only 1 time in Galatians.

This particular form of it used 3 times [Romans 8:11, Galatians 1:1 and Colossians 2:12]

Galatians 1:1
Paul, an Apostle not from men nor thru man, but thru Jesus Christ, God Father of the One rousing/egeirantoV <1453> (5660) Him out of dead ones

Textus Rec.)
Galatians 1:1
pauloV apostoloV ouk ap anqrwpwn oude di anqrwpou alla dia ihsou cristou kai qeou patroV tou egeirantoV auton ek nekrwn

Strong's Number G1453 matches the Greek ἐγείρω (egeirō), which occurs 161 times in 135 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV

1453. egeiro eg-i'-ro probably akin to the base of 58 (through the idea of collecting one's faculties);
to waken (transitively or intransitively), i.e. rouse (literally, from sleep, from sitting or lying, from disease, from death; or figuratively, from obscurity, inactivity, ruins, nonexistence):--awake, lift (up), raise (again, up), rear up, (a-)rise (again, up), stand, take up.

can we define terms up front... as often words are used with different meanings, for example when I read 'circumcision' I equate it with ritual conversion to judaism (rather than simply the act of being circumcised).

Steve
There are numerous threads on "circumcision" [and the Sabbath] on the GT board if you wish to discuss that particular topic. This thread is simply a verse by verse study on Galatians.
You are free to add a verse and/or comment on each one.

God Father of the One rousing Him (Jesus) out of the dead ones.

God Father of the One rousing Him....now Who would be "God Father" of the "One" rousing Him from the dead ones?

#1053 used 4 times in 4 verses. 3 times in Pauls Epistles, 1 time in Epistle of 1 Peter {1:1}.
The english word is taken from the transliterated greek word. I do use this interlinear to help with the translation of this Epistle and both the NT/NC and OT/OC

#1807 used 8 times in 8 verses according to ISA. Used in Matt {2 times}, Acts {5 times} and 1 time here in Epistles.
[Slight variance in word order in W-H and T-R.]
It is formed with the prefix #1537 and root word #142. Litereally to "lift away".
Most versions render it as "deliver" but there are other greek words that can are used for that I think.
The ISA Interlinear uses "extricate" which I find interesting.

1:4 The One-giving Himself for sake of the sins of us, so-as He may be extricating/exelhtai <1807> (5643) us out of the present age, a wicked one, according to the will of the God and Father of us.

1807. exaireo ex-ahee-reh'-o from 1537 and 138; actively, to tear out; middle voice, to select; figuratively, to release:--deliver, pluck out, rescue.
1537. ek ek or ex ex a primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence action or motion proceeds), from, out (of place, time, or cause; literal or figurative; direct or remote):--
142. airo ah'-ee-ro a primary root; to lift up; by implication, to take up or away; figuratively, to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind),
