Okay, so hopefully (hopefully) this will give everyone a chance to puff up - no, not themselves, but - their home state/town. Please give reasons why anyone would ever want to go to your home state or hometown. If you have pictures, stellar. If not, that's okay, too. (I'll just go kick rocks or :234: in the corner) You can list some main attractions or some "off the beaten path" experiences that people might want to discover, but never hear about. I'm interested in seeing and hearing about what is so special and amazing about where you all live. *hands fold under chin* :)

I guarantee you there is a reason for my madness. :D

You just don't need to know about it! :nono:

My first thoughts was not to celebrate my hometown :sorry:. The only things that popped to mind were insanity or the Packers.

I'll be nice, for once, though. The number one draw for tourists is probably Lambeau Field. The stadium was renovated not too long ago and people like to check it out in tours or to see the Packers play.

Not my hometown, but the state, particularly "up north" aka northern Wisconsin is a popular camping destination. This is a beautiful state.

OK, most people know I personally dislike my state heartily, BUT...I can promote its few good points with zest :D

We have great beaches with tons of tax-free shopping.

We're rich in Colonial history (Washington crossed the Delaware River, 'member?) and we have lots of places on the Historic Register. My town was also named best for Colonial homes :)

We've got the Dover AFB, which houses a major mortuary, so we receive most fallen Air Force personnel from around the world. I know that's kinda gloomy, but the AFB also has a great free museum and is a definite source of pride for the area :)

Being home to the DuPonts, there are several large 19th century mansions/estates/gardens that you can visit and "oooh" at.

And lastly...I hate NASCAR...but we have the Dover Downs track here lol.

Um...to get drunk...pretty much. We used to do the whole Orchard thing but the weather just wasn't cooperating so now our town is a vineyard. People come here to forget who they are...in the most sophisticated way.

To meet me...Besides that?
The mountains. The forested area is amazing. The breweries. The Steelers. The Eagles. The Pirates. The Penguins. Penn State(PSU) The changes to Harrisburg, PA with the mayor not going to be as mayor when he's been the mayor for 30 some years. Gettysburg(enough said). Hershey, PA Hershey Chocolate Factory was made. The highway road from a certain point and including in the town around the factory especially is painted brown. See America's oldest brewery..Yuengling(good beer btw). The capital building is something to see. Gives me the feeling of like your going to war, or at that old Civil War time feeling of how the pillars before the capital area and you cross over a big bridge. Strawberry St., a road filled with a lot great places to drink and eat and have a good time. The tea parties if you like political activism. OSU kickin major butt November 7th against PSU. 3 Rivers Stadium. My favorite part; you feel so close to the sky.

That's for starters for PA and Harrisburg, PA. The rest you'll have to come here and find out for yourself but don't forget, if you come here, the best part is muah of course.

Wow, lots included in that though... thanks!

Hey what can I say about myself? :p :D :)

There are many other really good things about PA. If you were a guy, I'd say that the Commonwealth has a wealthy amount of some nice lookin ladies but since your not a guy I can't add that. :p :)

Oh no no... please do, Im_A! I should've been more clear, I guess. After I posted the OP, I thought about people who've moved. But yes, feel free to go through any place you've lived for quite some time. It's all to the good. :)

The Reds. The Bengals. OSU. That's all you've got to care about. Screw the Browns and the Indians(I respect the Indians though). The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cedar Point (one of the best amusement parks). In most of Ohio you have flat, big sky farm land. People think what they want about that for all I care. Absolutely beautiful to see in my opinion on a big sky day. To see rolling farm lands for miles. Toledo, Ohio. My favorite big city in Ohio, I lived there for a year. It is a blue collar big city. The train station in Toledo. Nothing to grand, but grand enough for Im_A and grand enough that I am proud to talk about. Bellefontaine, Ohio. The town I grew up in but also the highest point in Ohio and the last I knew, has the world's shortest street. The Great Lakes are beautiful. Southern Ohio is beautiful. More hilly and a nice change of scenery. A very important state for the presidential elections. Newport Music Hall. I love old theaters that now play heavy metal and hard rock. High Street in Columbus, Ohio. Great place in Columbus, OH for bars and places to eat. Easton Mall Center. Basically imagine a small city that is nothing but malls. Any woman would love it and do love it. Plus they have an AWESOME sports bar and arcade in there. Putnam County, Ottawa, Ohio. Putnam County is either the highest rated or one of the highest rated DUI ratings in the state (when I got mine I was in Hancock county so at least I didn't add to it :D) but it is also one of the smallest counties in Ohio. Nothing but farming, blue collar country folk. King's Island...another great amusement park. Armstrong Air and Space Museum...famous for Neil Armstrong. Dayton Wrightpat Airforce Base. You can go there and look at jets and stuff and a famous airforce base that is still actively used. It was used for conspiracy theories with aliens as with Hangar 18 and Project Blue Book and it was also home of the Dayton Agrement or Dayton Accords, the peace agreement that ended the Bosnia War. Bellefontaine, Ohio also has a water fountain in the downtown of it with an upside pineapple. Don't ask why, all I know is I know people who have urinated in it so as Dave Matthews or Joe Cocker(depending on your preference) once said, "Don't Drink the Water."

There's to name a few things I like about Ohio. The rest you'll have to go there and see for yourself. :)
