  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Christian: one nature or two?

Another great vid on this stuff that pretty much every Christian would do well to see.....just awesome.

Interestingly enough touches on a lot of the same topics Paul Washer talked about.

two natures: flesh and spirit, natural and divine, earthly and heavenly.
Two natures or aspects?

A Christian isn't flesh (even though it's something he indeed has), is very much supernaturally created....or, recreated (having been born again)....and actually resides in the heavenly realms (at the right hand of God).

There's indeed two aspects to our existence (which you seem to have described), but I wouldn't say that what we are is the same as what we happen to simply be a part of (the world)....we're much, much more than that!

-"And God raised US up with Christ and seated US with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus."

We can't BE fleshly, natural, or earthly if indeed the heavenly realms is where WE ARE said to now BE (...although we could still have those as an aspect of our existence).

Hope that makes sense.

Peace
