The government appears to be playing a live version of the board game Monopoly these days! Banks, car companies, energy, and now the entire American Health Care System will all be governed by Obama.
What do you think?
What do you think?
Trust the government with what ?
Bit of a vague question actually.
Do I trust the Government to provide a proper military ? Yes
Do I trust the Government to spend my taxes wisely ? No
The government is run by politicians. Politicians are owned by corporations and big money donors. So I don't trust any politician to actually have the average citizens(therefore the greater good) best interest at heart.
Do I trust the government?
No.
And it doesn't make any difference who's in the White House.
I believe what we're seeing is a direct correlation to what we've experienced for the last eight or so years. GM was going to go bankrupt, the financial industry was basically destroyed, insurance companies were allowed to write policy and make exceptions for every little thing they could conceivably call pre existing. And this all happened under Bush. Don't know if it started there, but it sure as heck exploded there.
Is what O doing right? I think some things he is, some he's not. Will he be better than Bush? Who knows. My opinion is that he's surrounded by advisers who have their own agenda, just like the Bush presidency. I think O is more in control over his administration simply because he is more intelligent than Bush was (I'm not saying B was an idiot, just that I think O took his higher education more seriously and learned from it).
But with people like Rahm and Ponder as close advisors, with Hillary looking to polish her star at any chance, with Reid and Pelosi both more interested in their own agenda than the President's, I don't think we'll see much positive change.
IF Obama were in charge of his own thoughts and had personal convictions of any kind, he would not need someone to tell him what to say via teleprompter. He is an empty suit, a puppet, and someone is pulling his strings, telling him what to say and do.

The government is quickly taking over various aspects of American life and livelihood including banks, car companies, energy, and health care. Do you trust the government?
Much like Bush did for the past eight years? Who do you think was really in charge of policy during those years? Those years that conservatives kept their mouths shut and gave passive approval to the trainwreck simply because they didn't want "lib'ruls" to be elected? Guess what, it backfired.
Obama may have a teleprompter, but his speeches are his own. As for his personal convictions, they might not be the same as yours or mine, but he believes in them just as strongly. As I said, some things he's doing I agree with, some I don't.
I trust the government more than I trust the private sector when it comes to providing goods and services. Capitalism and greed ran the economy into a ditch.
Sure, there are a lot of problems, but I don't personally blame Obama or any other individual. These issues are bigger than one person.
