What games do you wish they would make sequels to or remake?

I'd love to see the following:

A remake of Chrono Trigger as well as a proper sequel. Chrono Cross I don't feel did a good job.
Earthbound! It also needs both a remake and (at least an English) sequel. I hear they have Mother 3 for the Gameboy Advance, but only in Japanese.
Police Quest. I didn't care much for PQ: Swat. I really miss the old PQ Cop Simulation games. Unfortunately, Sierra is long gone in a mess of sales to other companies.
Shadowrun... the RPG for the SNES, not the FPS.

Chrono Cross was a good game, I want to see a remake of it, and maybe a sequal to help fill in some of the remaining plot holes.

I also wanna see a new Destroy All Humans and lets pretend like Path of the Furon never happened.....

And a new Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Does anybody even remember this game?

Thought of this while being awestruck by the cinematic quality of Mass Effect: I'd love to see a remake of Knights of the Old Republic using modern graphics and animation technology. Also a proper KotOR 3, not this Star Wars: The Old Republic nonsense. Bioware made a very compelling main character in KotOR and then Obsidian just shoved that main character out of the way and there's no closure as to what finally happens, except for a little footnote in the introduction to TOR that says that character never returned from the Unknown Regions.

-As Derek already said, I'd love to see a remake of Final Fantasy VI. VII would be great, too... but I want really want VI.
-Chrono Trigger, too.
-More shoot 'em ups for the PS3/360 (Gradius, R-Type, etc.). We've gotten a few, so how about some more! Re-release Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga(again)!
-A new Panzar Dragoon game (how about a remake of Saga?)
-Another Outrun game, and Daytona also! Actually, Sega should just redo all of their classic arcade games again! A lot of the PS2 remakes weren't really that solid, and most were only released in Japan.
-A new PROPER Phantasy Star game. Not this Online stuff. Give me Phantasy Star V.

Battle Clash and Metal Combat [for the SNES]: It'd would be AWESOME to see it remade on the Wii. More people might actually play it and enjoy that brilliant [but failed] franchise.

They need to make a sequel to Moonwalker. That's one of my fav games of all time. Not the Sega Genesis version, but the one that only came out in arcades. That game was brilliant:

As well as Dungeon Keeper of course, but that one's unlikely.

And oh yeah: Forget Homeworld 2 ever existed and actually make a good sequel for that and Total Annihilation that doesn't have a crappy interface. Yes, I am looking at you Supreme Commander.

Ummm... You're 23 years late. There was a Super Mario Brothers 2 in the same style as the first one. It game out for the Famicom Disk System in 1986 in Japan, and was later re-released in English countries on the Super Nintendo as "The Lost Levels" on the Super Mario All-Stars cartridge.

I will contest that, there are many sequels that I flatly prefer over the progenitor games by a long shot. Overlord II, Diablo II, Dungeon Keeper 2 and even Red Alert 2 (heck, even Red Alert 3).

It's just that the majority market today wouldn't totally understand a sequel to a game they never played, and there are some revolutionary games that were still fundamentally flawed. Now that you mention it though, ChronoTrigger has already been re-released two times on the Playstation and Nintendo DS with the extra animated cutscenes. It was a SNES game by and far.

I don't know... Grand Theft Auto 3, Mega Man 2, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the Gran Turismo sequels. They are all pretty bad. How about Metal Gear Solid? What a horrible sequel to Metal Gear that was!

Oh, there are no doubt some pretty bad sequels out there. But there are many that are fantastic and keep getting better.
