  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Michael Jackson/heart attack!

If there was only one accusation, I would say, that child was coached to lie by his mother (which I believe the first child probably was coached by his mother to lie). Unfortunately, there were other lawsuits by other families that were paid off.

As a parent, I would never let my kid spend the night with JUST an adult (unless it was a grandparent/aunt/uncle ,etc and they were "baby sitting" the kids for hubby and me). In these cases though, the kids were old enough not to really need a "baby sitter". As parents, we are called to protect our children and somehow I know that a bunch of red lights would go on in my head if an adult without kids wanted my kid to spend the night with them.

I could see if my kid was friends with another kid and it was a normal type of kid sleep over at her friend's home, which this wasn't because at this time, MJ didn't have kids. I'm not saying MJ is guilty, only God knows the truth on that one, but I'm human and can't help but wonder why PARENTS would let their kids stay over night at an adult's home in this kind of situation.

Anyway, that is here nor there... it is all in God's hands now and all we can do is pray for MJ and his family to have peace and entrust MJ's soul in God's hands.

Michael Jackson. Totally brilliant and his video's. Wow. Re-watching them and listening to his many songs just bears out his brilliance. No one to compare him to. And in other personal ways as well. I came to the conclusion some time ago that in some sad bad way, he internally hated himself. To cut himself up with his plastic surgeries to the point of uck. I was again struck by his earlier pictures of what a good looking man he once was. To turn himself into what he did is utterly astounding. And then going to bed with kids. Good Lord... Speaking of which, he is totally in His hands.

I can only pray that his three children aren't put into a court fight for custody. I doubt that my hopes of no fight will bear out. The custody fight will be because of money IMO if the older two's biological mother takes the issue to court. I hope, if so, she does not win.

Ok - ask, [not really~>] seek, and [accidentally~>] find -
SO anyway - here is the secret world of Michael.

How Jackson's surgery was a desperate bid not to look like the father he hated | Mail Online

Usually i 'find' what I ask for somehow.

And apparently the police recorded [without letting anyone know i am guessing for future attempts] what he 'looked' like.

RIP...rest eternal.

Also, wanted to add that he will be set in a white carriage at Neverland and in a glass coffin for his fans to bid him farewell.

Its not that i was even looking for any info, but a few things piqued my curioisty when every site has some sort of info or news.

seriously, i wouldn't be surprised if his death is hoax to get him out of debt and to get him out of those concerts in the UK he in no way could do. Even if he wasn't nuts and on drugs you just can't do at age 50 what you did at age 20. I blame his death on the debt he incurred and the promoters pushing him so he could try to pay em off. I wouldn't be surprised if it was suicide.

With that said, he was amazingly talented and like one commentator said, if the 80's wasn't your era, you missed out witnessing one of the greatest talents there was.

I really love the video for Don't Stop Til You Get Enough. He was a good looking person in that video. It is hard for me to digest the fact that his father abused him and called him ugly and his siblings made fun of his nose. It's very sad because I don't know if he otherwise would have went to such great lengths to change himself if his appearance wasn't made fun of by his own family.

I love M.J. and I have been almost obsessed with his death since I heard from Tmz early that Thursday morning..Michael did so much for the black community and the ability for blacks to be recognized as mainstream crossover artists..he will never be forgotten. i love him dearly and pray that God saves him. r.i.p mj

Ok, I have never ever seen this video, nor did I hear this song.
It seems like a more recent one anyway...
And it is eerily ironic how he turns into a skeleton. [as a ghost]

But figured if no one else saw this one, i would share it.

I understand that the guy had a bad life and all, but good gosh so do a lot of people. My childhood was far from rosy but it's no excuse for me to continue on in childish behaviors. The real tragedy is that seemingly he never grasped that and got any kind of help. What a true waste.

I know a lot of people had a bad life but that doesn't mean I can't acknowledge if a particular person did, lol. If I were to keep quiet about one person's bad life simply because someone else also had a bad life, we'd never know about anyone's bad life and that would be a bad thing.

If you were a therapist and someone was coming to you saying how bad their life is, is that what you would tell them? Would you tell them that "good gosh so have other kids been abused, what makes you any different?" no...I wouldn't think so...I don't know...maybe it's me but even though you're not necessarily wrong that other people suffer too. I'm just saying...:|not trying to argue or anything...

I never also said that I was excusing childish behaviors, lol. That's another topic altogether...

Actually, believe it or not i thought he was his best looking and performing was in Black or White. I also like Dirty Dianna. I thought he pulled off being a Rocker pretty well. My 7 year old loves Beat It, we must have seen it 50 millions times over the weekend (along with Thriller) on VH1 and MTV. She asked me why did the little black boy turned himself into a white girl. I was like, ah... good question but he didn't actually turn into a white girl but she said, "well he looks like one".

Oddly enough, or not, I don't think about his race, or what he might have done for "the black community".
I see him, simply, as a super star.:)

But I am very distressed to know the pain he was in.
So so sad.:(
And am somewhat dismayed as to WHY his family didn't help him.
If nothing else, his mom should have done something.
And if not his mom, then his sister, or his brothers, SOMEONE.

His nutritionist stated, Michael wanted to be "out" "asleep".
Was life so painful, that only sleep could end the pain?
Here is a man who had it all, yet only wanted to sleep.

Maybe there is a lesson here for us, for the world.

Honestly this is what touched me the most about his passing.

He was the epitome of the 'human condition'. A man....a boy....that so openly and honestly, "just wanted to be loved". The media did more to destroy him than to provide an avenue for love yet he kept on hoping to "make people love him". I truly pray that God has much Mercy on Michael's soul and that he experience the True Love that he never knew on earth.

There is a song written by Bebo Norman to Britney Spears that I'm reminded of with Michael Jackson. Bebo is very honest in saying that during some the past drama with Britney, his first thoughts were, "Good Nite!!!! Get over it already." whenever he would hear another news story. But then something about her situation touched his heart and he wrote this song to her.

I can't help but think that Michael and a lot of other artists, need to hear it to.

Lyrics - Britney by Bebo Norman

Britney im sorry for the lies we told
we took you into our arms and then left you cold
britney im sorry for this cruel cruel world
we sell the beauty but destroy the girl
britney im sorry for your broken heart
we stood aside and watched you fall apart
im sorry we told you fame would fill you up
and money moves the man so drink the cup

i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
you never see it coming back
i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
but i can see it coming back for you
yes coming back for you

britney im sorry for the stones we throw
we tear you down just so we can watch the show
britney im sorry for the words we say
we point the finger as you fall from grace

i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
you never see it coming back
and i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
but i can see it coming back for you

yeah, its coming back for you, yeah, its coming back for you, yeah, its coming back for you, yeah

britney i do believe that love has come
here for the broken
here for the ones like us

i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
you never see it coming back
and i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
but i can see it coming back

i know love goes around the world we know
and you never see it coming back
you never see it coming back
i can see it coming back for you

its coming back for you... yeah
(repeat)

I too feel this way. And it distresses me so that there is so much gossip that hurts his children and his memory. And during this sad, sad time I wonder why we are trying to pit races against each other. What were the words to that song of Michael's--"it doesn't matter if you're black or white"...

Hmm, let us remember that it was Michael Jackson who brought us the song "We Are The World" and let's act like "we can make a better place".

Idk if you are african american but usually other cultures( particularly white americans) do not realize what one from another culture has done for their own community..for example mj was the first black artist to EVER EVER be played on mtv. That is an accomplishment that eventually opened up the door for other black artists to be played on that channel and to be accepted internationally..and that was just in the 80s!....idk if you are black like i said ...but if you arent thats why i know unless you are aware you wouldnt know to acknowledge his historical accomplishments as black artist in america.....

Actually, I'm sure most of us knew that MJ was the first black on MTV (he found out that MTV wasn't playing his songs, so he packaged them in video form and viola) but the main thing is that MJ was a superstar--one that we could appreciate whether we were black or white (as in the song "it really doesn't matter"). IMO he wasn't about pitting blacks and whites against each other.

no one is saying that...so idk why people here are acting offended when i made my own comment about mj including the accomplishments that mj made for the black community...my comment..you arent apart of that community so i dont really know why many here feel like they have something they "need to say" inregards to that community when they arent apart of it. Sorry but race in our world and society will always matter...its funny how non-minorities always tend to think that thx. God bless
