I had a brief moment of weakness earlier today when I thought of a guy I've been acquainted with since the mid 90's but he doesn't like hockey so it wouldn't work out.

both of my folks are big supporters of the second amendment but do not own a gun for that same reason

I think its cool that you can fight with swords... but I am an avid video game player oh I just finished Tales of the Abyss btw. Pretty good, I guess, for a JRPG. Could've been cut down in time by many hours. In true tales fashion, lots of good info is left out unless you go on sidequests. But the ending was cool. Now watching the anime- it works well as an anime.

Keep an open mind, does it really matter if he doesn't like hockey? As long as you have some stuff in common it could work.

Keep an open mind, does it really matter if he doesn't like hockey? As long as you have some stuff in common it could work.

It's not necessarily a 'requirement' but his dislike for hockey is pretty strong....I'd have to convert him.

I guess I have been blessed that I don't develop crushes very easily, especially over the internet. I guess I am more of a realist, and they can be a blessing and a curse. I never get my heart stepped on, which is good, but that is because I never open it up and put myself out there, which is bad.

I have no crushes, online or in real life at this moment, and if anyone has a crush on me, I am oblivious to it.

I can relate, Coach.

I don't have any crushes, per se, but....there are two people I'm acquainted with (one strictly online and the other a former coworker at a previous job that I've connected with online in the last year) that I could see myself developing crushes for if I'm not careful to 'guard my heart' or...worse....let my emotions over recent family/job events make me vulnerable to bouts of utter stupidity.

Have you told him that you have a crush on him, and asked if he has a crush on you? If not, IMO, that would be very hypocritical and unjust if you let it turn into bitterness and anger. What if he's oblivious to the fact that you have a crush on him, and he's not telling you that he likes you because he's afraid of rejection? I really wish I could say something to help.
