Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A game: Have you ever...

Yep... was after the 'ex' left the house
with... all of the fixtures, fittings, and furniture
some of it not worth keeping...
but taking-it DEPRIVED me
> the 'object' of the effort

Anyway...
she had, ALWAYS had possession of the remote-control to the telly
even-when, I was holding it at that time

So after she forced me to sell the house [court-order]
I bought myself, the BIGGEST TV...
not-quite! but only a 50 inch was bigger [then!]
complete with FREEVIEW fitted inside and HD 1080 READY!!
It cost me a little-under £1400.00
the laugh is...
I rarely watch television
oh, apart from the odd film or documentary
: outer space [astronomy] innner-space [natural history]
My PC gives me MOST of my daily input and output opportunity

WHY ??? This, was something that 'SHE, could not control'
a personal gesture that she might hear about... but never see
When I used it as a monitor for my PC Games back in Bristol
my eldest lads were truly amazed
She, is reputed to have replied following, the news of it
"Big-Headed... bar-steward!!"
:D:D

It is BIGGER than I needed...
and with the Home Entertainment Surround Sound System
that I bought to complement it [another... almost £300]
and the DVD Player/Writer, I have in my PC
Cinemas [and travelling to and from them]
are, an unnecessary expense [popcorn and drinks... on the settee]

HYE...
eaten a dessert which you enjoyed so-much that you ate another
and consequently made yourself nauseous [sick] ?

Yes, I hope she doesn't mind me revealing this, but I did actually meet our own "buttercup" when she was visiting Texas in the Fall. We met for breakfast and it was very fun!

HYE visited the United States?

Yes and we are looking forward to the time when we can make another trip :) We couldn't travel last year due to Rob's health and that he couldn't get medical insurance, but we are hoping that we can have a holiday in the US later this year.:)

HYE considered becoming a vegetarian?

No, I like meat too much for that!

Have you ever snow-skied or water-skied?

HYE thought that you might actually meet someone you have "met" online?

sorry the reply is a little late.......

Yes... and indeed I have

My family, urged me, not to, follow 'my experienced-instinct'
"Daddy, she could be anybody" said a daughter
there were other admonishing statements
as to the character of anyone that one, could meet on the internet
BUT... I knew me [better than they] and I.... was on the internet too!

I HAVE, met several angels out here in the ethernet

Evie [an alias] who allowed my mind to conceive of myself as a really decent chap
Silverswimmer [another alias] who proved to me
that I still had MUCH to offer others, that,
despite my failing physical health
Miggles [yet another alias] who shone a light on my path to GE 50+
to recognition that my way is, toward Him
Mary [her real name] who as a very nice lady with PC prob's
showed me all of the very best traits a person can possess
and His blessing created mutual-'likes'
and later, affection between strangers, who could never have met up
were it not for a mutual friend having introduced us as NEEDFUL and HELPFUL
whom, then, tried to split us up and destroy the friendship
Her, a self-professed GAY and offering, to come visit me herself

That 'motive' was blatantly apparent [past the lies she had offered]
and I informed Mary that the lies I had heard
were not worth 'salt' and that I believed tangible facts that had stood the test of time

the rest is history and I am and have been truly blessed

HYE.... Known something was truly real...
despite others voicing views, that your view was mistaken [mad]

HYE had food poisoning?

yes... I was at middle school [juniors]

it went through the family like 'a dose of salts'

Two weeks I was off school, as the family endeavoured
FIRST to contain the infective bugs and allow survivors to remain uninfected
and I remember so-well the 48 hours
that had to happen since the last attack

HYE... nursed someone with whooping cough
and suffered 'symptoms' [albeit imagined] of choking and needing to clear own throat ?

a fear of being bullied ? oh yes

It arrives with maturity... it has been 'you versus them'
so often.... that the worm turns
it preempts the pain that will be inflicted [otherwise]
with a strength and agility that appears from nowhere

Learning a martial 'art' will enable
SAFE rendering of an assailant into being INCAPABLE of, further attack
I chose 'Wing Chun' for it's effectiveness

HYE... underestimated your own 'abilities' and been very surprised at the outcome ?

No, I think I probably have tended to over-estimate my abilities....for example as a teenager in the swimming club, tried to dive off the high board...and did one tremendous belly-flop! Have to say I never tried again.
Then again, having over-estimated my abilities in many ways, has consequently tended to make me un der-estimate my abilities.

HYE made a complete fool of yourself (or at least percieved it that way)?

LOL Sis' tansy :)

They, call 'that' LEARNING not to repeat errors
it is a self-defensive 'instinct'
ha ha ha

"never -again !!"

Did you mean 'deliberately' or 'inadvertently'

deliberately YES... to entertain my family
inadvertently YES... I was a teenager allowed to drink in a bar legally
as, a boy-soldier... an older guy, put me to bed 'suddenly'
to prevent me harming myself ... I went and thanked-him upon waking
I had been, without inhibition

Same question:

HYE made a complete fool of yourself (or at least percieved it that way)?
