I voted "to learn."
I'm a bit of a theology junkie (I confess) and I'm very interested in this stuff and how various brothers and various denominations understand it. But it's NOT ONLY academic.
I was raised in a strongly ecumenical home (my father is a pastor in a denomination rather obsessed with such), and I grew up being exposed to lots of different forms of Christianity and teachings - my parents encouraged that. I was active for some 5 years in BOTH my Protestant and my Catholic churches. In all that, I learned that misunderstandings abound (about equally all around), they die hard (everyone seems to think their own teachers know more about others than those others), we often stumble over our terminology, and often talk past each other. IMHO, 90% of us AGREE with each other FAR MORE than is realized.
CF is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to meet. Face-to-face. To ask questions (even tough ones). To LEARN from each other. As I've done (I'm 21 and I've already changed denominations twice - so obviously I'm willing to say "I was wrong" and act accordingly). GT is a GREAT PLACE for this since few other places offer the diversity and openness that this forum does.
Unfortunately, some are here only to attack others or defend their denomination. They beleive they have nothing to learn - and thus don't. It's okay, because they might end up teaching even if they cannot learn from others. And those that insist, "I'm infallible" cannot be corrected - no matter what.
My perspective.
