CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS UGGGHHHH I hate it when it snows but it's not enough to cancel work but totally wreck traffic and extend your commute.
I can already see what's going to happen... I spend 1.5 hours to get to work this morning only for them to cancel work at noon and then the whole federal gov't rushes to the roads all at once and I spend 2 hours in traffic getting home

IAWTS - it's snowing!!!! Not enough to close schools, but like DB said, enough to cause about 20 wrecks around town, lol. I'm so glad I'm a good snow driver. We're supposed to get ice tonight, so...maybe tomorrow the schools will close. Powdery snow is easy to navigate, but not ice.

Well, at least I have a job. In the last week I've heard of 10 friends/family losing their jobs. And it's only going to get worse.Haha, I definitely got obscene this morning when this chick almost hit me because she didn't do a head check and almost merged into me.
Do you get paid for snow days? I know my son's mom hates it because if my son's school is closed then she has to watch him and can't work.. which means no pay.

IJWTS it's so awesome to read the Bible to Josh, and see his reactions to the stories. We've heard them all so many times, they lose their 'punch' so to speak. But when a child hears that Peter walked to Jesus on top of a lake, the shocked gasp is just priceless! And somehow we got onto the topic of how powerful Jesus is, and then talked about how love is powerful, and it was just too cool

Heck no, lol. We're forced to take vacation time, which is just wrong IMO. But I'm still excited about the snow
I saw that it was snowing this morning, but Josh hadn't looked out any of the windows yet, so while he was eating his breakfast, I slowly and dramatically pulled back the living room curtains without saying a word, and he let out a huge wide-eyed gasp when he looked outside, lol. That was priceless.

IJWTS that I although I like President Obama (yes, I voted for him ) I wonder if he's going to be taken seriously by other world leaders (particularly the Middle East) because he seems like such a nice guy. And I am very curious about how he is going to handle Iran, North Korea and other "axis of evil" countries.

IJWTS - I gathered up the courage to talk to my mom about something I needed help with right now. I have been wanting to for a long while, but I'm always anxious about getting scolded on the subject. She was calm and nice about it all. I'm so glad I decided to do it.
