Buddhism has an impersonal being, not a personal God. We are to escape from this world rather than seeing it as God's creation which he will one day fully restore. Nor is their resurrection, forgiveness or the presence of the indwelling Spirit of God to guide and communicate with us.

The time has come for CHRISTIANS to stand strong against the wiles of evil.

2 Timothy 4:

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

1 Peter 5:

8, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

1 Timothy 4:

1, Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Colossians 2:

8, Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Proverbs 14:

12, There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

SO SAYS THE WORD OF GOD!

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

JESUS IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AT!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T SEE HIM!!!

Jesus said plainly in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

That rules out any other religious way to heaven or 'enlightenment'.

Some Buddhists teach reincarnation. The Bible says we will die once, and then we will be judged by God as to whether we accepted Christ as our savior.

There are many other aspects of Buddhism that contradict the Bible. So no, it is simply not compatible with Christianity.

I'm not sure what you mean by cruel Christians? If a Christian is acting in a way contrary to the Bible, then he's not acting like a Christian. Unfortunately there's always people like that, no matter what beliefs they cling to.
But if the Christians are cruel for saying Buddhism is not compatible with Christianity, then they're only telling you what's in the Bible. We can't pick and choose our religious beliefs like a buffet table, and then spit out the bones we don't like. According to the Bible, there is only one way to heaven and that's through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Curiosity killed the cat. If you are curious about Buddhism this week what will take your fancy the following week?

But I note you already claim you are a Buddhist. What gives?

If your asking is it Ok to be a Buddhist, and then become a Christian? The short answer is yes, but know, it's not just a matter of following a set of traditional steps to become a Christian. There is a matter of the heart that has to be dealt with.

Just like engaging in any relationship, you can't switch from one to another, and expect to be fully with the person you are with now. It takes time. This maybe one of the reasons you may be encountering some perceived hostility. Because this faith is a personal relationship with God, and is treated as such by most.. So to ask what may be perceived as disrespectful questions, The reaction you get may be something a kin to you asking a similar question about a family member.

Back to your original question, Yes you can convert from Buddhism to Christianity.. My mother did, and is living with a strong relationship with God now.

I used to be Buddhist, and I still agree with most of what Buddhism teach, but I don't use Buddhism to try to find salvation anymore. I think that "enlightenment" is something I will find in heaven. I don't need to go to monastery to find it, and I can eat whatever I want and I can even have a wife if I want to, and still I can find it with Christianity.

You should change your name BTW. It is not really cool to be a German with 88 in the nickname. :/

You've received wise counsel from the previous posts
There is only one doctrine worthy. This is the Word of God. There is no compromise.

Ephesians 4:14
that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Given that the TRUE definition of a TRUE Christian is "a follower of Christ"--names and claims carrying no weight whatsoever--in what way do you feel TRUE followers of Christ are "cruel"--or do you see cruelty in Jesus in some respect which His followers are just imitating?

By following and beliving the doctrine of Jesus Christ, how can you be both? You are either for Him or against Him.

Saying that christians are cruel is like saying all people who drive Ford Focuses are blind. Of course not!!!
No christian is perfect as we are all suseptable to sin. You can't judge one apple for the whole bunch.
